Grab a drink and advocate for your profession! Join us 5/7 for our second district meeting and social event of the year.

We'll start the evening with food and drinks from 5:30 - 7:00pm and then jump into our business meeting to share what the district has been up to and what's coming.

We'll be discussing AB 2497, our modernization bill, that is currently being battled out in Sacramento! You can learn what's been happening with the bill and how you and your colleagues can help ensure it passes!

Food and one drink will be covered for all district members. Non-members are also welcome (with a $20 fee to be paid upon arrival).

We chatted about local and statewide PT happenings, welcomed some new people to the Bay Area, and ate yummy food, beers, and sodas. Be on the lookout for our next event in the coming months!

This month, we honor the history, traditions, and healing practices of Native and Indigenous communities. Physical therapy shares deep roots with holistic healing — focusing on restoring balance, strength, and connection between the body and mind.

As PTs, we celebrate the resilience of Native peoples and recognize the importance of culturally responsive care. True healing happens when we listen, learn, and respect each individual’s story, culture, and values.

🤝 Let’s continue to grow in cultural humility, ensure equitable access to rehabilitation services, and advocate for representation of Indigenous voices in healthcare.

The APTA and APTA Private Practice have taken a bold stand against systemic underpayment in health care. By joining a federal antitrust lawsuit, they are challenging a coordinated price-fixing scheme by major insurers and MultiPlan (now Claritev) that has harmed physical therapists and limited patient access to care.

This legal action is about more than reimbursement - it's about fairness, accountability, and protecting the future of our profession.

As APTA President Dr. Kyle Covington said, “Anticompetitive and unlawful reimbursement practices are harming our profession, limiting patient choice, and driving up health care costs.”

Let’s stand together for transparency, justice, and the value of physical therapy.

Click the link in our bio to read the APTA's official statement from September 30th and to sign up to receive notifications of pending seminars regarding the lawsuit.

Did you know physical therapy doesn’t just heal the body—it supports the mind too? Movement releases endorphins, reduces stress, and helps manage depression and anxiety. Physical therapy reminds us that even small steps can create big changes—for body and mind. This Su***de Awareness Month, let’s remember: healing happens inside and out.

Strong Women. Stronger Movements. 💪

Today, we honor the trailblazing women who fought for equality — and the ones still pushing boundaries in every field, including physical therapy.

From redefining recovery to leading research and inspiring future clinicians, women in PT are more than healers — they are changemakers.

To the women using their platforms to educate, advocate, and elevate: we see you, we celebrate you.

Every patient’s story is unique—and so is their healing journey. 💪🌍

In our clinical practice, we must champion intersectionality by honoring every identity, breaking down barriers, and creating truly inclusive care.

Because equity isn't optional—it's essential. 💙

Intersectionality recognizes that individuals’ identities and experiences are shaped by multiple factors such as race, gender, sexuality, and class; which intersect to create unique perspectives and challenges.

Understanding intersectionality is crucial to creating truly inclusive spaces where all voices are heard and valued.
