Strong Women. Stronger Movements. 💪

Today, we honor the trailblazing women who fought for equality — and the ones still pushing boundaries in every field, including physical therapy.

From redefining recovery to leading research and inspiring future clinicians, women in PT are more than healers — they are changemakers.

To the women using their platforms to educate, advocate, and elevate: we see you, we celebrate you.

Every patient’s story is unique—and so is their healing journey. 💪🌍

In our clinical practice, we must champion intersectionality by honoring every identity, breaking down barriers, and creating truly inclusive care.

Because equity isn't optional—it's essential. 💙

Intersectionality recognizes that individuals’ identities and experiences are shaped by multiple factors such as race, gender, sexuality, and class; which intersect to create unique perspectives and challenges.

Understanding intersectionality is crucial to creating truly inclusive spaces where all voices are heard and valued.

July is Disability Pride Month!

As physical therapists, we’re proud to support disability as a natural and powerful part of human diversity — not something to “fix.” This month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and voices of the disability community, while continuing to challenge ableism in healthcare and beyond.

🖤❤️💛🤍🩵💚

Let’s listen, learn, and create spaces where all bodies are respected. 🧠🦽💬

In recognition of AAPI Heritage Month, we are spotlighting some important articles about providing culturally informed physical therapy care for these patients.

Dr. Vivian Zhang, PT, DPT, MS is a pelvic floor physical therapist at Beyond Basics Physical Therapy.
