To all who know people with depression and other mental illness who lost the battle against the chemical imbalance in their brain, having their own mind being their enemy; for those who fought hard with minimal support from their own family and friends, even doctors.
For those who couldn't go on.
If you have a friend, sister, colleague, child or even parent is struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or any mental health issues and are not being treated, don't ignore it. Convince them to see a doctor, and remember their cure could lie in the way you treat them.
Be supportive, comforting and help them get help.
Yes there no cancerous cells that are causing these peoples deaths. But there are chemical imbalance that cause the person to not see life the way you do. The imbalance that attacks the person physically and mentally until the only relief seems unthinkable.
A death is a death, a life lost is a life lost.
Spread awareness in this modern world where internet exists and we normal people can make a difference.
Depression has been a deadly disease for decades. From patients being permanently institutionalised in the olden days to patients being downright ignored to the point where the patient has no where else to go.
Spread awareness not stigma.
