April is Occupational Therapy month! What a career it’s been the last 10 years 😅

FROM:
-wanting to be a doctor since I was young
-being “weeded out” by organic chemistry
-not getting into OT grad school the first year due to classes not transferring correctly
-not getting a pediatric fieldwork placement in grad school

TO:
-being the senior OT at a pediatric outpatient clinic
-becoming a feeding specialist
-starting my own mobile business
-making true meaningful differences in the lives of babies, toddlers, kids, & families

The road was bumpy, but worth it ♥️

As a pediatric occupational therapist, I work with so many wonderful, amazing kiddos. Every single one of them has touch my heart and made me a better person. I am eternally grateful to the kids and parents for allowing me into their life. ♥️♥️

Make it fun! Repeated exposure with positive experiences is key. Use fun themes like holidays to create with no pressure to eat.
