A message from Michael O' Johnson Chairman of the Board

Although I may have passed the baton to John Agwunobi as your new CEO, my love for Herbalife Nutrition and our Herbalife Nutrition Foundation is stronger than ever. I’m extremely proud of what we have accomplished together to grow our Casa program during my 17 years, and I’ll continue to support the Foundation to ensure it grows for years to come.

As you can imagine, the Coronavirus pandemic has made this is an especially challenging time for those in need, including our Casa Herbalife Nutrition partners around the world who serve more than 120,000 people. Without adequate funding, their critical projects like feeding families and bringing clean water to villages are at risk.

Therefore, we need your help.

The cancellation of our annual Herbalife Nutrition Foundation Gala, an event that raises more than $1.5 million in a typical year, means annual grant funding for our Casa programs could be severely limited. That’s why we are asking you to give now.

If every distributor around the world gave whatever they could afford, think of the additional funds we’d have to ensure the people in our Casa programs get the nourishment, care, and education they need to reach their full potential. Funds raised will also help organisations providing critical aid in communities hardest hit by the Coronavirus pandemic.

So, I hope you will make a donation today. I have, and so have all the members of the Herbalife Nutrition Executive Committee. Your donation really matters.

As a company dedicated to health and wellness, our top priority is the well-being of our distributors, our employees and our communities. What you do to help promote good nutrition in 94 countries around the world is especially important in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic. What you have done, and continue to do, to serve your organizations and your customers in these challenging times is truly inspiring.

Thank you for your everything you do to improve lives around the world.

Regards,
Michael O' Johnson
Chairman of the Board

Some information that GPs want their patients to understand:

1) GPs or any healthcare practitioner are not immune to COVID-19. Please don’t lie to the nurses/receptionist at triage and risk infecting the doctor an/or contaminating the room. If a doctor tests positive, the entire clinic has to be shut down. COVID-19 can survive for 2 hours in water droplets the air, upto 4 hours on copper surfaces, 24 hours on cardboard and upto 3 days on plastic.

2) If you have symptoms of COVID-19, don’t come to the clinic. Please call your GP. Many GP practices are not adequately supported with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are not equiped to treat COVID-19.

3) Please take the social distancing advice seriously. I was at woolies today with people constantly brushing into me from behind. Understand that the vast majority of COVID-19 infections are unsymptomatic/mild and we are only testing people who meet a very specific set of criteria. This mean that the potential number of people actually infected in the community are way more than the number on the news. PLEASE ABIDE BY THE SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES. 2 Metres!!

4) If you are self isolating, please stay at home. I met multiple people today who were just ‘popping to the shops for food’. If you need something, please have someone (friend, family, neighbor) to do the shopping run for you and leave at at your doorstep, as long as they are well of course.

5) Statistical data predicts that over 60% of the population will probably be infected at some point. This is largely inevitable. As per our most recent statistical estimates, 81% of people have mild symptoms, 14% have severe symptoms needing hospitalisation, 5% are critical and need ICU support. If we can slow this virus down, we can ensure that our hospitals have enough resources and beds available to accommodate everyone who needs to be there. Just because covid is around, doesn’t mean other diseases have stopped existing. Please try to help us flatten the curve (see my profile picture).

6) Coronaviruses are envelopped viruses which means they are particularly susceptible to detergents and alcohols which destroy the virus. Please maintain proper hygiene and wash your hands regularly. Please cover your mouth and nose when you cough and wash your hands immediately afterwards. Avoid handshakes and hugs for now 😔

Please consider sharing the advice to anyone who might benefit from it.

Stay happy and healthy everyone! 😊😊😊

When to wash/sanitise your hands:

Touching ANYTHING on public transport.
Using an ATM
Using a shopping trolley
After shopping
Opening, closing a door
Going to the bathroom (this is not a new thing)
After changing baby nappies (this is not a new thing)
After helping your child or family member in the bathroom (this is not a new thing)
After a handshake (DO NOT handshake)
After unloading your groceries.
Before eating (this is not a new thing)
After opening your purse/ wallet to pay for things
Before touching your face
After using utensils, cups, dishes in a cafe etc
After touching ANY surface in public places
After paying your bills at the post office etc
After going to the bank and using their pens
After using a phone, keyboard, mouse in public/work places

When I was out a few days ago ... there were 16 times I should have washed my hands. I was so conscious of not touching my face! When I got back to the car I sanitised them - well ... then scratched my nose (total relief!) ... and sprayed my steering wheel with glen 20 just in case
