Do you utilize affirmations as a means of self-regulation? I do! Sometimes they're true in the moment, sometimes they're things I want to believe to be true. I only ever say them about myself, since I'm the only thing I have control over in this crazy world.
They feel hokey, but usually if I repeat them enough it begins to feel natural. Then if I do it enough it feels real. I might actually even start to believe it!
I like to recite three affirmations per day, saying each one three times. Repetition is necessary, at least for me. Here are my three affirmations for today:
My mind and my heart are at peace
My body does its best to get me through the day
I am eager to share my knowledge with those who want to receive it
