• Helps improve workouts
By:
• Detoxifying your body
• Correcting deficiencies
Boosts Energy Levels
• B6: helps produce energy and feel energized
• B12: known as an energy vitamin; may indirectly help the production of neurotransmitters in your brain such as dopamine and serotonin
• Magnesium: used in energy production
• Zinc: used for energy production in your body
• Potassium: ever tired after drinking coffee? Most likely the fatigue is from potassium loss
Reduces Stress
• B2: helps in treating stress and fatigue; can help lift mood and increase energy
• B5: anti-stress vitamin
• Vitamin C, E and Calcium may decrease stress levels
• Magnesium: relaxes muscles and blood vessels; it is sometimes referred to as the calming or anti-stress mineral; used for anxiety
Improves S*xual Function
• Vitamin E: sometimes referred to as the “virility vitamin”; protects the tissues of your blood vessel linings and your s*xual glands from damage from chemicals, pesticides and toxins
• B3: essential for the synthesis of s*x hormones (testosterone)
• Zinc: Found in high doses in oysters! Has been reported to assist with impotence and ED
• Copper: Also found in oysters in high doses
• C and B5: purported to support the adrenal glands, which could increase s*xual interest
• Selenium: reputed to increase the male s*x drive; males appear to have a greater need – almost half their body’s supply is concentrated in the testicles and seminal ducts; lost in semen
• Grape seed extract: helps to improve circulation
• Ginko Biloba: helps to improve circulation; may relieve impotency
Corrects common male deficiencies
• Magnesium: may be the most commonly deficient mineral
• Zinc: is thought by many nutritionists to be the most important mineral supplement
• B2: America’s most common vitamin deficiency
Protein/Amino Acid utilization/Hormone production
• Manganese: helps with protein and amino acid utilization
• Magnesium: used in protein synthesis and neuromuscular function
• Zinc: for amino acid metabolism and protein digestion; excessive sweating can cause loss of as much as 3mg/day
• Vitamin E: supplies oxygen to the body to give more endurance
Detoxifies your body:
In General
• NAC, Grape Seed Extract, Lipoic Acid and Ginko Biloba are potent antioxidants. They are expensive, which result in many companies skimping on these ingredients in the proper dosages
Alcohol
In many studies, alcohol has been shown to lower testosterone and increase estrogen levels in men.
• Milk thistle: contains bioflavonoid-like chemicals that are very effective at protecting the liver and helping it rebuild damaged cells; science has verified that it contains liver-protective compounds and stimulates the growth of new liver cells; is especially beneficial in protecting liver against alcohol or OTC drugs like aspirin or acetaminophen
• Choline: helps eliminate poisons and drugs by assisting the liver; especially beneficial to heavy drinkers; has been shown to protect the liver from certain types of damage and can help reverse damage that has already occurred
• Folic acid, B12, B6, selenium, zinc, NAC, lipoic acid: other nutrients that enhance liver’s detoxification process
• NAC: a powerful antioxidant and detoxifier; important for your liver’s daily rebuilding process (also protects liver from aspirin, acetaminophen and medications)
• B1: alcohol rapidly depletes your B1 supply
• B2: alcohol interferes with proper absorption so heavy drinkers need supplementation
• B12: important to supplement with alcohol use
• Zinc: those who frequently drink alcohol need more zinc; used for alcohol metabolism
• Folic acid: it’s advisable to increase intake if you drink frequently
• Magnesium: heavy drinkers are usually deficient
• Potassium: heavy drinkers usually have low potassium levels
• Alcohol depletes B1, B2, B6, B12, Folic acid, Vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium and Potassium
Smoking
• Smokers have a greater need for Vitamin C (each cigarette destroys 25-100mg)
• NAC helps protect against the harmful free radicals from alcohol and ci******es
• B12: helps protect against smoking induced cancer
Air Pollution
• Carbon monoxide destroys Vitamin C so city dwellers should up their intake
• Vitamin E: protects your lungs against air pollution
Toxic Chemicals
• Selenium: helps break down toxic chemicals
• Zinc: may protect against the toxic effects of chemical exposures
Cadmium: Bad for you. Exposure comes through cigarette smoke, certain paints, water, coffee, tea, contaminated foods, and refined foods. May affect kidneys and blood pressure. It may interfere with zinc functions in the body, affecting immunity, prostate health and bones
• Zinc supplements can reduce cadmium toxicity
• Copper, selenium and Vitamin C can help eliminate cadmium
Mercury: the most widespread neurotoxin in modern society; found in nearly all seafood as well as dental fillings, cosmetics, pesticides and fungicides. Key problems associated with mercury: Loss of S*x Drive, general poorer health, headaches, fatigue, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal upset, poor memory
• Increased intake of Vitamin C and selenium can lower absorption and help eliminate mercury from the body
• Selenium and NAC may help counteract and eliminate mercury
Lead toxicity through water pipes, old paints, contaminated water and foods, cosmetics, pottery, soldered cans and gasoline. Can cause learning and behavioral problems; affect attention span, memory, hyperactivity, general learning capacity. Can also cause muscle pains, poor appetite, headaches, anemia, problems with appetite and digestion. Also acts as an immunosuppressant.
• Prevention includes avoiding exposure and maintaining adequate calcium and zinc levels
• High calcium diet can reduce lead absorption
• Increased Vitamin C may enhance lead elimination
• Can gain some protection with adequate intake of calcium, zinc, copper, Vitamin C. These nutrients prevent lead from getting into the body
• Milk thistle is good to use after exposure to radiation, heavy metals or toxic chemicals
Bisphenol-A (BPA): research has found associations between higher levels of BPA exposure and ED, loss of libido, difficulty ej*******ng, erectile problems, low s*x drive, lower overall satisfaction with s*x and increased s*xual dysfunction. Some scientists believe that when BPA enters the body, it can mimic the effects of estrogen and may block male s*x hormones (including testosterone)
High levels of estrogen can lead to ED in men. Studies have found that increased estrogen can lead to male s*xual dysfunction.
• Zinc: helps convert estrogen into testosterone and can lower estrogen levels
