One of my biggest takeaways from January was my lack of fast food (pun intended)

I set out a goal of cleaning my nutrition up more in the pursuit of dropping 2-3kg.

Problem:

After a heavy Christmas, maybe youโ€™re like myself and couldnโ€™t stomach the sight of another quality street, selection box or any other biscuit or chocolate.

So you decide to get locked in on your nutrition, set up on a new training program and have people hold me accountable.

The results are next to none.

Solution:

I stopped eating like my 2 & a half year old and started prepping meals,

Got clear on realistic calorie targets and aimed for a source of protein in every meal.

Avoided any takeaways for 3 1/2 weeks, (going all in)

cutting out any temptations in the cupboards,

Outcome:

I soon found myself leaner in body fat% and 3kg down.

I know if I wanted to I could have a takeaway and still stay within my calories but part of me didnโ€™t even value it and opted for a much more sensible approach.

Think 80/20% approach.

& if you want help in regards to looking and feeling your best, drop me a DM and we can get a chat.

Best piece of advice I could give you right now?

Take it one day at a time,

One meal at a time,

One training session at a time,

One book at a time.

One week, month, 1/4 of the year

Your progress wonโ€™t happen over night but each box you tick will add up in the long run.

Especially if you just starting off on your fitness journey it will take time,

but once you start seeing progress it will just push you more and more to keep going.

Log your workouts. Track your meals. Stay disciplined and map out what you need to do each day to stay on top of your progress.

This is the start of your 2025 journey.

If you need help, drop me a message. ๐Ÿ“ฑ โฌ…๏ธ

Get after it ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

12/01/2025

How has the first couple of weeks been so far in 2025?

A. Did you tick the boxes in pursuit of your goals/resolutions?
Going into this week already one step forward?

Or

B. Did you find yourself stuck in the same position as last year?
With no real direction of where to start?

If its going well, then Im glad to hear and keep up the good work. ๐Ÿค

If you fall into category B and youโ€™re stuck with where to start then these simple tips/exercises will help you close the gap from where you want to be.

1. I want you write down the three main goals you want to achieve in the first 1/4 of the year. Loose 8lbs, complete first 10k, get stronger in a particular exercise for example.

2. I want you to write down 3 reasons โ€˜WHYโ€™ you want to reach these goals. Example- wedding, holiday, better quality of life etc.

3. I want you to break each of them down into 3 simple steps on how youโ€™re going to achieve them. Example- train x2/3 times, track calories, less screen time, read more, journal.

This simple method of writing down your goals (or the notes of your phone) can help give you more clarity of what your goal actually is and how youโ€™re going to get there.

Now that youโ€™re aware of your goals, do you want to know what the next step is?

Taking action. ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ

If you need help on figuring out a plan,

And need some extra accountability,

Then drop me a DM and we can get a chat.

Look forward to hearing from you.

1% better everyday counts in the long run.

Anyone I work with or have worked with will know I make sure we find out what the main goal/goals are before starting. Write them down, map out a plan and find out the gap between them reaching their goals.

The next step is to find out why they have chosen the desired goal. Sense of clarity in a way. Maybe your self conscious about your weight and want to improve your confidence.

Or it could be a case of building muscle to become a stronger you.

To reach these specific goals you have chosen, there must be a plan in place.

One that prevents you making the same previous mistakes and allows you to become 1% better at what you do everyday.

It may seem to make very little difference at the start, but the impact after months of practice can show.

Over the course of the year youโ€™ll be 365% better.

Success is the product, not once in a lifetime transformations.

You get what you repeat. ๐Ÿ”

If my goal was to gain some discipline/order back in pursuit of dropping 15lbs, hereโ€™s what I would do:

Sleep: Id make a conscious effort of improving my sleep. Iโ€™d keep a regular sleep schedule so that im going to sleep at the same time every night and wake up at the same time.

Iโ€™d aim for a better quality nights sleep so Iโ€™m well rested, my brains sharper & more decisive in decision making.

So yea, sleeping longer is the new cool.

Walk a whole not more, and make it a habit

Overrated in my opinion when it comes to your weight loss journey, with its physical and mental benefits. Itโ€™s going to speed up your progress drastically.

The extra movement & the destress factor goes a long way on your journey.

Aim to get stronger

Get into the habit of lifting weights, correctly, so that you donโ€™t injury yourself and youโ€™ll notice yourself gradually becoming a stronger you.

Itโ€™s important to strengthen your muscles, in forms of movement patterns so that you become stronger in everyday life.

Have someone who will help hold me accountable

To help me accountable to a higher standard, especially on days I donโ€™t feel like it.

This could be a coach, a family remember or a close friend.

Someone to call you out if you fall off track, if youโ€™re not eating the right foods or making the right decisions thatโ€™s going to lead you to getting the results you want.

How I can help you in 2025.
& what I do.

This year, especially around this time, you might be considering getting into a fitness routine and building some healthy habits.

Win: Find people who inspire you, lift you up and make you want to do better. Surround yourself with them this year.

Lesson: Less negative talk. Itโ€™s an absolute energy zapper like those who gossip.

Appreciate who you are, what you have and that you can always push to do better.

Call to action: Put yourself in uncomfortable situations- challenge yourself physically, emotionally and mentally.

If you donโ€™t like something, stop complaining and take action- change it, fix it, get rid of it.

Last but not least, donโ€™t be afraid of the hard stuff- it builds character.

How to approach your nutrition over Christmas ๐ŸŽ„

Save & remind yourself of this as you approach the Christmas holidays!
โฌ‡๏ธ โฌ‡๏ธ

Donโ€™t be restrictive.
Allow yourself to eat your favourite foods. Donโ€™t go into the holidays thinking you canโ€™t eat certain foods. You are more likely to create a poor relationship with foods and overeat.

Donโ€™t stress about being in a calorie deficit.
Sounds a bit counterproductive, but if you are wanting to get long lasting fat loss results then 2 days out of the year isnโ€™t going to destroy this. You have all the other days in the year to focus on that.

Stick to regularity.
Eat at the same times you would normally eat and the same foods for meals (breakfast, lunch) before the big main one. Chocolate for breakfast isnโ€™t the best idea.

Adding in a walk or some form of activity

Not for the sake of burning off what you ate, but to help you feel better throughout the day.
Itโ€™s not for everyone but it does help. Going for a walk to break up the day or even

4 weeks until Christmas ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ..

And I usually find this time of the year the motivation levels tend to dip.

A cosy lie In seems like a better idea than getting up early to train,

or Netflix and chilling by the fire seems much more appealing than going for a walk.

No matter what your goals are, you will always go through stages that you just canโ€™t be bothered.

My advice would be- treat it like you would treat your job, if you donโ€™t show up you wonโ€™t get paid.

Keep it simple and remember the basics โฌ‡๏ธ

1. Tracking your calories and staying within your limits.
2. Hitting your step count daily.
3. Showing up to the gym.
4. Resting and recovering well.

Nail those 4 non-negotiables, despite the time of the year, and your goals will still be achievable.

20/11/2024

The truth is, a calorie deficit isnโ€™t the only thing thatโ€™s going to get you your forever results ๐Ÿšจ

Itโ€™s the art of living a lifestyle that has created new life long habits and behaviours..

That will allow you to never go back to the place you was before you started your journey.

Think about your weight loss journey like building a house..

You need to embed the foundations first, to build upon

Likewise.. You canโ€™t just hop straight into a diet, and expect yourself to smash it everyday โŒ

Like why do you think youโ€™ve given up after 2 or 3 weeks so many times in the past?

Because when those lifestyle foundations are rock solid, you can do whatever you want on top..

Diet properly, for 6, 8, 10 months+ and really get those life changing results youโ€™ve always desired โ˜‘๏ธ

From there, build upon maintaining those results without spirally backwards and regaining weight โ˜‘๏ธ โ˜‘๏ธ

Before finally opening up more flexibility within your lifestyle and focusing on your health and well-being โ˜‘๏ธ โ˜‘๏ธ โ˜‘๏ธ

ALL of this coming from those healthy behaviours you created right at the start

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ The way you embedded a better standard of living and perception of yourself

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ From the way you changed your mindset and mentality towards healthy eating, exercise and self-belief

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ And how you allowed yourself to embed life long habits that means you donโ€™t have to think twice about what you do anymore.

And if you want to get on track with your weight loss journey, drop me a DM & we can have a chat.
