📣Faculty Spotlight: Lisa McLoughlin D.Ac., L.Ac.

NCCAOM Board Certified (2005), Lisa is a Licensed Acupuncturist with a private practice since 2005. She received her Doctorate of Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health Sciences with a focus on Public Health Issues and Neurological Disorder and a MS of Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA) with a core focus in Kiiko Matsumoto’s Style of Acupuncture, Acupuncture Physical Medicine, and TCM. She has studied with Kiiko Matsumoto since 2002 and has been part of her teaching and clinical supervising team since 2005. She was the Lead Faculty of Kiiko Matsumoto’s Style of Acupuncture at TSCA from 2014-2019. She joined the AcuMed Integrated Structural Acupuncture Faculty in 2022. In her free time, she travels to Japan to study with Acupuncture Masters.

Welcome Joseph Walker III, M.D. to our faculty team!

Joseph Walker III, M.D. is a triple-board-certified physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with subspecialty certifications in Pain Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. He completed his residency at Harvard’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and a multidisciplinary Pain Medicine fellowship, integrating physical therapy, psychology, and interventional procedures. Since 2009, he has been a faculty member at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he provides non-operative spine care and performs interventional pain procedures at the Comprehensive Spine Center.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Walker is actively involved in medical education, serving as a national lecturer on neuroanatomically based electroacupuncture. He also contributes to the field through peer review, professional committees, and leadership roles, including his position as a board member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
