Join us today for Ask the Doctor with Lawrence I. Golbe, MD at 2pm EST! In this webinar, Dr. Golbe will cover the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine and discuss how PSP, CBD, and MSA are conditions that increase the risk of death from Covid-19, therefore, should qualify as underlying conditions warranting priority for receiving a Covid-19 vaccine. Lawrence I. Golbe, MD, is Emeritus Professor of Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. He graduated from Brown University and New York University School of Medicine and did residency training at NYU/Bellevue before assuming his current position in 1983. He was Acting Chair of his department from 2000 to 2003 and was Program Director of its neurology residency from 2003 to 2018. His research is in the clinical genetics, clinimetrics, and epidemiology of parkinsonian disorders. Any medication referred to in this video should not be tried unless under a licensed professional's supervision. This webinar will be moderated by Joanna Teters, Community Outreach and Resource Manager at CurePSP. We encourage you to submit your questions prior to the start of the webinar to info@curepsp.org or through registration. We hope to connect with many of you!

Lots of jargon here but the main takeaway is there may be better tools on the horizon for early PSP diagnosis! It's great it's being researched; PSP is often passed over versus other dementias.

Warning - emotional post coming. Have any of you ever dreamed of your loved one, or of yourself, healthy again? I had a dream in which mom got over her PSP. I remember thinking, in the dream, what a miracle it was. Waking up was wrenching. I also have dreams in which she's still in the mid-stages of it, and these are horrible. Nightmares, actually, though the events, or similar ones, actually occurred, so I suppose they are more like flashbacks. The dreams are traumatic, and I'm struggling to cope.
