We’ll be in Westport this SATURDAY supporting and !

Our Maternal Health program serves birthing persons in our communities from prenatal to postpartum with in home nursing and occupational therapy. One of our big focuses in the home is on mental health and identifying any shifts in mood during the postpartum period.

Raising awareness for perinatal mental health conditions, The Climb brings communities together to shine a light on a darkness we often don’t speak about. Perinatal mental health conditions are the most common complication of childbearing.

Come connect and bring the kids!!

Compassionate care is at the forefront of what our team and partners in the community strive to provide. shared a recap of the intervention and we're so grateful for their quick action!

"Got an early morning call from Relief Home Health Services about a unhoused gentleman living in his car in an abandoned parking lot. They were concerned for him. I was able to find him within 10 mins of the call and have a nice conversation. He needed some hygiene supplies, a backpack, toilet paper, wipes, and water to keep him cool. He said this heat has been really hard on him. He saw my t-shirts and asked if he could have one. He was so grateful because he didn’t have any t-shirts. I asked him if I could take of picture of him wearing our shirts and he had the biggest smile on his face!! Completely made my morning! Thank you Relief Home Health Services for caring about this man and calling immediately to get him services. We will continue to work with him with our case managers to see how we can support him moving forward."

Men are less likely to seek support and are often afraid to speak up about their mental health. Statistics state that 40% of men have never spoken about their mental health.

Society’s expectations and traditional gender roles play a large part in why men are less likely to discuss or seek help for their mental health problems.

At Relief, in coordination with a provider, we make support easy to access - from home. Our special focus on behavioral health helps patients stay on the right track with their medications and care plans increasing the likelihood of positive outcomes.

Our team enjoyed being guests at Duffy Health Center Community Breakfast this morning.

Among a long list of Duffy’s accomplishments in the past year, we celebrated the success of the Medical Respite Pilot Program. Relief has collaborated on the program with Duffy since the beginning and we’re pleased to hear that it’s been given the stamp of approval to become a permanent model of care in our community.

Congratulations to everyone who was celebrated this morning for your outstanding support and accomplishments for Duffy. Your dedication to those in the community who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness on Cape Cod is truly admirable.

This Nurses Week, we celebrate our extraordinary Relief team of nurses by giving back to a cause they care deeply about. We’ve made a heartfelt donation to Steppingstone Incorporated, supporting their commendable work with First Step Inn—a 20-bed shelter that provides vital care and support for those experiencing homelessness, coupled with severe mental health and substance use disorders.

Big thanks to Justin Paiva, RN, who nominated Steppingstone Incorporated . We appreciate being connected to initiatives offering a lifeline to our community's most vulnerable.

Again, thank you to all our nurses for your relentless dedication and empathy. Your compassion shines brightly, making a profound impact every day of the year. Here's to you, our heroes! 🌟💙

Our team had so much fun at the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts Star Awards. Our VP, Michelle Aceto, CARN was recognized as the Home Care Champion of the Year. As we kick off Nurses Week, there's no better time to highlight one of Relief's shining stars.

From the Nomination: "Michelle ... is a champion of giving the voiceless a voice and a champion of recognizing that people are best served in the comfort of their own homes. The stigma around behavioral health is ingrained in our society, and often people shy away by labeling certain patients "problematic" or "too complex" for help. Despite the societal challenges, Michelle has played a significant role in destigmatizing mental health and catering to a population that is marginalized through the avenue of homecare. This is innovation."

Hi everyone! We are excited to share the upcoming Medication Safe Disposal Day at our local police stations!

📅 Date: Saturday, April 27th
📍 Location: Police Departments - Bourne, Wareham, New Bedford, Barnstable, Dennis and Yarmouth
⏰ Time: 10am - 2pm

This event is a fantastic opportunity to safely dispose of unused or expired medications. Clearing out old medications reduces the risk of accidental ingestion and helps protect our environment from contamination.

As healthcare professionals who regularly assist with medication administration, we understand the importance of managing medications responsibly. This event aligns perfectly with our mission to ensure the health and safety of all our patients and community members.

It’s a simple step we can all take to make our community safer. Spread the word and let’s make a positive impact together!
