Hi!

Long time no see!

Another old blogger friend did a quick hello on her old page and I loved hearing about her family & it inspired me to say hello!

Blogging all those years ago was one of my favourite things, many good things came out of it including many friendships I still hold dear. But while I loved sharing recipes/life/tips blogs started to advance so quickly and I felt way way out of my league & like I couldn’t keep up.

So anyways! An update!

Our little family moved just over 5 years ago across the country and are now living in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada. It still feels like a dream!

We have 2 kids. A boy that is almost 9 and a girl that is almost 6! We got a cockapoo puppy in May and her name is Olive and she is the cutest thing and also an orange cat named Daisy - she’s a grumpy cat that reminds me of Garfield 🤣.

After almost 9 years of staying home - I went back to work as an education assistant in September and am really loving it!

Outside of that. I’ve been really exploring my creative side with painting and art & it’s been amazing! Also I’ve continued growing my essential oil business that I grew while I was home with the kids! It’s at over 200 members and I’m still so grateful for that!

I’m also still dairy free and don’t see that ever changing! Of course the world of dairy free living is soooooo much better now!

💗 And my newest find - skinny pop cheddar is dairy free!!!

It has been about 3 years since I had an accidental dairy incidence and holy smokes I forgot how bad it can be.

Does anyone else get major muscle aches, sore joints, and get completely zapped of all their energy, on top of all the tummy troubles?

I googled it today because it’s been so long since I experienced it & it seems pretty common.

Thankfully after almost 24 hours I’m starting to feel human again.

Alert alert!! Guys... this stuff is delish! I was hesitant when buying it but it’s so good! The kiddos and I are gobbling it down! Probably the best dairy free cheese I’ve tried so far! Mmmm

Shut the front door... Ben & Jerry’s is the best dairy free ice cream out there and now 2 new flavours! Yesssss

Non-dairy pints now comprise 20 percent of the iconic ice cream brand's products thanks to the addition of two vegan versions of fan-favorite flavors.

Choose dairy free chocolate chips, sub coconut milk for the heavy cream and planted based milk for the regular milk and this sounds like a great dairy free holiday treat!

A curious question for my dairy protein allergy folks. I've read there is a strong correlation between a milk allergy & a beef protein sensitivities. That being said - have any of you tried collagen as a protein source with success?

Wow this is big news! Can you imagine the change if the health care industry stopped promoting milk products? Or at the very least changed up the push on it in our diets!? Amazing

Public consultations for a new food guide will be finished by Tuesday, July 25th, and a draft of the guide shows a lot of interest in eliminating one.
