Today’s scripture takes us to the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda. But here’s where I want to zoom in: John 13:5. It says Jesus disappeared into the crowd after performing an incredible miracle.

Wait, what?! He disappeared.

The religious leaders and even the man He healed couldn’t find Him. Where did He go? Verse 14 tells us: He was later found in the temple—a place of worship.

Here’s the takeaway: Jesus didn’t stick around for applause or recognition. His purpose was crystal clear: to bring glory to God, not Himself (check out John 6:38 for more on that).

💬 Real talk— This is a lesson I’ve had to learn myself—and honestly, I’m still growing in it. I’ve got some stories to tell of how God has delivered me from the pressure to “be,” “do,” and “prove.”
At the end of the day, it’s not about us. It’s about what God wants.

When we truly understand who we are in Christ, everything shifts. 🙌

✅ We stop chasing validation.
✅ We stop feeling like we have to prove ourselves to anyone.
✅ We realize that just being is enough.

The “doing”? That’s simply about following the will of the One who sent us.

Take a deep breath today. You’re already enough. 💛

Morning Bible Study Notes
John opens with a powerful truth: Jesus is the Word of God. The Word holds incredible power.

In John 4:39-42, we see this in action. A Samaritan woman, after encountering Jesus at the well, runs to her town and shares what she’s experienced. The result? Many Samaritans—people who historically despised Jews—rush to see Jesus for themselves.

They plead with Him to stay, and He does. For two days, He speaks, teaches, and shares His message. By the end, many believe. They tell the woman, “Now we believe, not just because of what you said, but because we’ve heard Him for ourselves.”

This story reminds us: there is power in our testimony.

Our words can spark curiosity. They can draw others closer to the truth. And when people encounter Jesus for themselves, lives are forever changed.

Be bold in sharing your story. Speak words that lead people to Jesus. The true Word that transforms, heals, and inspires.

💛

Morning Bible Study Notes: The Holy Spirit led Jesus to a divine lunch break encounter. As I studied this, I came to see that as the woman grew in her understanding of who Jesus is, her names for Him evolved. At first He started off as “a Jew” then “Sir” then recognizing that He “Must be a prophet” and finally “Could He be the Messiah?” In order to get to this place, the barriers blocking her spiritual eyes had to be removed (John 4:10). Today, the question is, what is blocking us from seeing Jesus for who He really is to us? We can not understand who God really is if we have barriers blocking us from receiving the truth. Jesus said that the true worshippers worship God in Spirit & Truth. The Spirit leads us into all truth (John 16:3). Lastly, one of my favorite parts of this passage is when the woman runs into town as a witness, telling everyone to “Come and see.” With every revelation comes the power to declare truth boldly 💛
