Fitness Diva I am 56 years old, retired paralegal, former US Marine, mother of three AWESOME sons - 29, 27 and 16. Been working on it ever since. At 56! Bring it on!

I am here to provide fitness tips, links, motivation, and encouragement for any persons wishing to raise their level of fitness, with an emphasis on running and at home weight training with free weights and body weight. I've been on a fitness journey for most of my life, but got a little side-tracked during the raising of my two oldest boys. After the third was born (when I was 40!), I decided it was time to get back in the groove. Took me over a decade to accomplish one of my goals, giving up meat. It was easy to let go of ground beef and red meat, but poultry and especially fish were a little tougher. But on July 24, 2011, I took my last bite of meat (a salmon croquette), and have not looked back once. Started back running in 2012 about this time, after a 25 year hiatus of no running, but LOTS of walking. I run about 12-15 miles a week now, weight train (which I've been doing to some degree since 1997), and flexibility train. I'm in the best shape of my life. Go figure. :)

I am READY for the next phase! Whatever it turns out to be, I will never forsake my commitment to personal fitness, and to raising the consciousness about good health wherever I go. :)

Fitness diva been a BUSY DIVA for the last several years but guess what didn't fall by the wayside? That's right. My fitness program!! You know, when I first started out with fitness so many years ago it used to feel that my fitness program intruded on my life! Had to get past that, and did. Now, it's more like my life sometimes intrudes on my fitness program!! 😂😎🚶‍♀️💪🏼 But we know it's all about balance and that's a good thing to put on our personal goals list.
I've missed being here. I hope to come around more often. Keep it moving!! 😘

I apologize to all my friends, both old and new, that I have been so absent from this page this year. I am almost completely immersed in growing my little business that it seems my time has been at a premium. I barely have opportunities to keep up with my fitness program, but manage to 'work it out' somehow lol. I still love all y'all and I will try to be more present. :)
