What are you expecting during this new season?

Did you know that April is recognized as stress awareness month?

There are four different types of stress:

1. Eustress
Good stress in life, such as getting married, having a baby, winning money, getting promoted, making new friends, or graduating, that has positive connotations.

2. Distress
Bad stress in life, such as experiencing divorce, punishment, injury, negative feelings, financial problems, or work difficulties, that has negative connotations.

3. Acute Stress
Fight or flight. The body prepares to defend itself. It takes about 90 minutes for your metabolism to return to normal when the response is over.

4. Chronic Stress
The cost of daily living: bills, kids, jobs, etc. This is the stress we tend to ignore or push down. Left uncontrolled this stress affects your physical health.

The above mentioned impacts your emotional health which play a vital role in your healing after loss and trauma.

According to The American Institute of Stress, 77% of people regularly experience physical symptoms caused by stress, including headaches, dizziness, gut issues and fatigue. If left unchecked, stress can lead to more serious complications.

Are you able to feel hopeful after or in the midst of loss?

Fun Fact! Even after dropping my breakfast on me & the floor this morning I am still feeling hopeful.
