ANNOUNCEMENT
October 1, 2023

Dear Patients, Colleagues, and Friends,

I am announcing I am retiring from clinical practice at the end of this year. My last day seeing patients is Saturday, December 30.
At age 73 and after 41 years in practice, it is time for me to step aside. I am grateful to Salmon Goldberg M.D. for founding Allergy & Asthma Associates and for bringing me in.
Patients will be in good hands with Drs. J.K. Lawson, Kathy Sonenthal, and Irma Oliff. I will still be involved with Allergy & Asthma Associates in non-clinical roles for a while.
I am grateful for the privilege of helping patients for four decades. Your trust and appreciation are part of the reason I have not retired earlier.
I look forward to more time with my children and especially with my granddaughter Callie, and more opportunities to travel and to write!
All good things must come to an end, and the New Year will mark a new beginning for me and for Allergy & Asthma Associates. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had.

BUFFALO GROVE Open Monday 10am-5pm, Thursday Noon-6pm
CRYSTAL LAKE Open Monday & Wednesday Noon-6:30pm, Tuesday 10:30am-4:30pm, Friday 10am-4pm.
NORTHBROOK Open Tuesday 9:30am-5pm (except 12-1 lunch), Wednesday 1pm-6pm, Saturday 8am-1pm . CLOSED FRIDAY

Call the offices before you come for allergy shots or visits to verify it is open.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:
1) All patients coming in for allergy shots or office visits should phone ahead to verify that the office is open and shots are available.
2) Call the office again when you arrive to receive directions as to when and how to enter the office (varies by location).
3) Only a limited number of people are allowed in the waiting room due to social distancing (varies by office).
4) Most patients may wait their 20 minutes after allergy shots either in the building hallway or their car (varies by location). Call the office when your 20 minutes is up. Nurses will notify patients who must wait in the office after their allergy shots.
5) For annual and other non-acute visits, we are adopting telemedicine where a physician will review your progress with you during a videoconference using Zoom. To use this, patients must have either a smart phone or a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone.
6) We are not equipped to diagnose influenza or coronavirus. If you have a cough and a fever, we ask that you refrain from coming in to the office. In the office, nurses are triaging over the phone whether an ill patient should come to our office or see their primary physician.
