HELEN'S HOUSE® Long-Term Care Households create a place where our four beautiful seniors, including those with irreversible dementia / Alzheimer's can live a full life regardless of their health conditions and age in place. Our four residents thrive in homes and neighborhoods where they are not defined by their medical condition, but rather by who they are as individuals. We encourage our residents' autonomy, respect their need for physical and emotional privacy, and take their preferences, choices and status as an adult into consideration when providing care, supervision and activities. The living environment is a beautiful, custom built four-bedroom home in an actual neighborhood that is staffed 24/7 by a team of caregivers. My mom moved into Helen's House in Feb of 2017 - she was suffering from dementia and had a fall at home and couldn't return to her home with her husband. We had been looking for a place for mom and found a home in Helen's House. From the day she moved in, mom was part of their family. The staff did an amazing job of helping mom adapt to her new surroundings. I loved that she had home cooked meals and routine that helped her settle in. Sadly, mom passed in April of 2019 and the staff at Helen's House helped maintain her dignity and she was able to pass away peacefully there. I honestly feel like the staff at Helen's House loved her like she was their own mother and treated her so with much love and respect. It really gave me peace of mind, knowing that she was being cared for and was safe. P.B daughter of past resident
Unfortunately my mom got to enjoy the wonderful caregivers at Helen’s House for only six months before she passed. The nurse and staff were so caring to mom and helpful to us, the family. During that time mom received excellent care and fellowship. Because Helen’s House has only four residents, she received quicker and more personal care. I would recommend visiting one of their facilities and seeing the home-like atmosphere that is provided. G.B. son of past resident
My mom was at Helen’s House in Wrightstown for a little over 2 years. The staff is amazing! Mom had a home cooked meal 3 times a day! Besides taking care of the residents, they do all the cooking, cleaning and laundry for the 4 residents. They took great care of mom until the very end and loved her like their own. ❤️ If you’re looking for a place to take your loved one, this is the place. J.V.D. daughter of past resident
Our mom was in a nursing home facility for three years when we were lucky enough to find Helen's House in Kaukauna. What a difference in places. Helen's House is remarkable homey, friendly and was such a wonderful fit for our mom and our family. I have always felt welcome and have made many friends with my mom's caretakers. Every time I left Helen's House I knew my mom was in great hands. My mom was at Helen's House for over four years. It has been over six months since my mom passed away and I missed see my friends at Helen's House. But I know I'm always welcome to come back and visited. I can't say enough about Helen's House. It is truly REMARKABLE PLACE that you get to call HOME. D.D daughter of past resident
I am very lucky that my mom had the pleasure of staying at Helen’s House. The staff provided a warm and loving home away from home. The attention mom received could not have occurred in a nursing home. As the struggles with Alzheimer’s worsened they were always looking for ways to keep mom engaged. They adjusted her care to meet her needs. Helen’s House is a special place. Check it out you will be amazed by what they offer! S.U. daughter of past resident
Our Mother resided at Helen’s House for almost five years. Parents never want to leave their home to go into a care facility. Helen’s House is the closest "living in the home "environment they will ever have. It is a four bedroom ranch home in a residential neighborhood. A few of the biggest advantages verses a large facility that are most important to our parents are things such as eating meals they request or even just eating when they want. A garden outside for flowers and vegetables along with a patio. Just ask for anything and get it immediately. No waiting for an hour. Bathing as often as they wish and when they wish. Bathroom needs met immediately. These are some of the things that are most important to them and the family and help maintain their dignity. Isn't that what you want for them? I can’t say enough good things about the care my mom received at Helen’s House. My mom previously resided in a memory care facility, but I believe she felt more comfortable in the home-like atmosphere at Helen’s House. My dad also found it easier to visit my mom in that more personal setting. The caretakers became like extended family and were very attuned to my mom’s current state of well-being. We were especially grateful for the comfort and compassionate care provided to my mom during her final days. I would highly recommend Helen’s House! D.C. daughter of past resident
My mother was a resident for 8 years at Helen's House and loved it! She was able to decorate her room exactly how she wanted it and hang pictures. She made it her own, not a sterile bedroom in a sterile facility. The caregivers are wonderful and it is an extended family. Not only are the caregivers family so are the other residents and their family members. I can't say enough about Helen's House. 😊 L.J. daughter of past resident
When the time came to put our Father in an assisted Living facility, he flat out refused. We took him to many nice facilities in the area, and he stated he would run away from them all. We were at the end of our rope when we heard about Helen’s House. We took our Father there to visit and he did not complain. We moved him in shortly after. He loved it! He had many laughs with the other residents and talked non stop about how much he enjoyed the staff. He could not thank us enough for moving him to Helen's House. He was happy, Finally! It was such a Blessing to know Dad was in a great place with Great care.
