As World Hepatitis Day approaches on 28th July, our colleagues from The Hepatitis C Trust have been out and about offering Hep C testing.

Yesterday, they worked alongside Kamsons in Whitehawk, Brighton, where they tested a total of 43 people.

Huge thanks to Erion and his team for making them feel so welcome and supporting our efforts in working towards Hep C elimination!

We're please to be able to share more information about our recent testing event held at the Shahjalal Cultural Centre in Hove, via local news platform, Sussex World! Read more about the initiative here:

More than 120 people from the South Asian community in Hove have participated in a two-day testing event as part of a national project helping eliminate Hepatitis C as a major health threat by 2025.

Thanks to everyone at the Shahjalal Muslim Cultural Centre in Hove for 2 amazing days of testing last week. Despite some terrible weather we were still able to test 128 people! A big thank you also goes to our dedicated nursing team and brilliant Hepatitis C Trust colleagues for all of their hard work making the events a success. It was also a fantastic way to raise awareness around BBV transmission and treatment and we look forward to doing more testing events in the future!
