Li is the founder of Optimize Your health, LLC. She works with clients and helps them learn about their unique body and mind constitution. Li uses a variety of methods including nutrition, yoga, yoga therapy, visualization, life style choices and coaching to bring balance back to life, integrating body, mind, and spirit to optimize health, performance, and leadership. Prior to establishing Optimiz

e Your Health, Li spent many years working in the high-tech industry, including 14+ years at Microsoft in the areas of product and learning development. As the driven individual she is, Li undertook her work and all activities with zeal and passion. Inevitably, the long to-do list, non-stop schedule and accumulated stress began to take its toll, and to manifest in her life . Finally Li heard and answered her wake-up call. Recently, Li traveled around the globe, seeing, learning, and deepening her holistic practice with Yoga and Ayurveda (the science of life). From her own transformative experiences, not just about healing the body, but the whole person, inside and out, Li believes she has found a holistic and comprehensive system, and naturally, she wants to share! She has been inspired by the learning, and she wants to empower others and to make a positive impact! Li received her MA from Seattle University in Organizational Systems Renewal, and her BA from UW with an emphasis on Technology Management and International Business. Li is a certified and Yoga Alliance registered instructor RYT-500. and a certified Purna Yoga Therapist (Digestive issues, Asthma and Bronchitis, Diabetes, High and Low Blood Pressure). Li is also a certified Ayurveda wellness counselor. Wellness and LIGHT leadership:

The idea that mediation is about controlling or ceasing thought is a common misconception. By nature, any attempt at “not thinking” conjures up all kinds of thoughts. IYKYK. 😉 A more realistic objective is to witness and observe your thoughts without a strong emotional reaction one way or another. Through the practice (because it’s always a practice) of meditation, you learn to evaluate thoughts objectively before letting them go. This impartial detachment from your own thoughts is the true goal of meditation rather than avoiding thought entirely.
