Shoulder pain after having a baby? It’s not just from holding your newborn!

Here's what could be causing that nagging discomfort:
Poor posture
Weak core muscles
Breastfeeding habits

But don't worry, Mama, I've got some solutions for you!

✨ Use props to bring your baby closer to you during feeding!

A breastfeeding pillow may not be enough—stack more pillows or blankets to make YOU more comfortable.
Stay as upright as possible to avoid straining your shoulders.
Another reason for shoulder pain could be trapped gas after a C-section. Here's what you can do:
Try ginger tea or ginger lozenges
Burp frequently
Keep your shoulder moving to release tension

These pains don’t have to stick around, Mama! Sometimes all it takes is a few adjustments to set you up for success. It’s not about just dealing with the pain—let’s make it better!

Don't forget, we’re often feeding for long periods of time, so get stacking to stay comfortable!

There isn't any..Which is WHY I created POWER in Postpartum

Let's go over what standard procedure is after an orthopedic surgery...a true story by the way...

My husband hurt his elbow and needed a tendon repair surgery

He had surgery 2 weeks before I delivered (which I delivered two weeks early) --I ended up with an emergency c-section,and you're just sent home with a belly band and a baby

You get a whole list of what NOT to do: No referrals, no references, no guidance of what you SHOULD do
But what I did know, was that I needed to see someone, so I went to a pelvic pt. Now I believe and wish Pelvic PT was MANDATORY after pregnancy for every and covered. But unfortunately it's not

So I did pelvic pt 1-2x a month (which can vary between $150-$195 per visit) I paid $195 each visit for 6 months which = almost $2400 - for a MAJOR abdominal surgery - which I didn't have money for but I figured it out bc I KNEW it was necessary

No PTO, no disability - especially for self-employed - I went back to work 3 months later
Which included
- internal exam
- internal work
- hip assessment
- scar massage
- cupping
- typically 1-2 exercises per visit

Elbow surgery
Pt 2-3x a week for 7 months he got all covered
All under PTO and disability from work for 7 mo
- assessment
- scar massage
- paraffin baths for healing
- exercises with someone 3x a day
- 60 mins AT PT 3x a week
- specific program to follow
