We cannot get over the beautiful synergy that unfolded in the two weeks bootcamp. While our mothers engaged in intensive business training, their children with cerebral palsy received specialized support through our caregiver volunteers. The children were provided with pedagogical support, therapy, recreational skills, refreshments and educational learning using the STEM kits specially designed for their needs.

Our caregiver volunteers, with their compassion and expertise, created an environment of learning and growth. They engaged the children in activities that not only stimulated their cognitive abilities but also provided therapeutic benefits. The STEM kits allowed these young minds to explore, build, and learn in ways that are both fun and educational. This hands-on approach helped improve their problem-solving skills and cognitive flexibility, making learning an enjoyable experience.

As the mothers learned how to enhance their microbusinesses through financial management and business pitching, they knew their children were in good hands. The simultaneous impact on both mothers and their children was profound. The mothers gained the skills and confidence needed to support their families, while their children received the educational and therapeutic support necessary for their development.

This program, organized by the Special Needs Initiative For Growth in partnership with the Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation and sponsored by is about creating lasting change.

In the second week of our BootCamp training, an unforgettable moment unfolded. After each mother with a child with Cerebral Palsy passionately pitched her business idea to our panel of judges, they received incredible support to take their micro businesses to the next level, thanks to TheirWorld.

Okutoro Feyisayo, our first-place winner, received a generous grant and a mobile phone to support her business growth. Balogun Ganiyu Tumninu, who took second place, also received a substantial grant. Orekunrin Oluwatosin, the third-place winner, was awarded a significant grant as well. Every participant walked away with a consolation grant to help boost their entrepreneurial ventures.

This program, organized by the Special Needs Initiative For Growth in partnership with the Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation and sponsored by TheirWorld, is more than just a training session. It’s about empowering these resilient mothers to create sustainable futures for their families and provide better support for their children. In the second week of our BootCamp training, each mother got the exciting opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges. This crucial part of the training helps them hone their “elevator pitching” skills, preparing them to present confidently to any funder or investor.

The room was filled with anticipation as the mothers shared their visions, passion, and plans for their businesses. Our panel of judges listened intently, evaluating each pitch on clarity, innovation, and potential impact. It was a powerful moment of validation and encouragement for these incredible women.

After the pitches, the judges deliberated and selected the top three winners. It was a surreal moment for everyone involved, especially the mothers who poured their hearts into their presentations. We are thrilled to announce that the results will be revealed in our next post!

This program, organized by the Special Needs Initiative For Growth in partnership with the Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation and sponsored by , is about more than just business skills. It’s about empowering these mothers to create sustainable futures for their families and provide better support for their children.
