After teaching a full night of ballet classes last night, 2 x private ballet students today followed by 2 x barre classes, my heart is full! 🥰
The fact that I now get to teach barre, yoga and ballet for a living is super cool, and I get to do it almost every day of the week!

Let's hear from Taylor...

" I have been a dancer from a young age, so movement has always been a love of mine. I was first introduced to yoga when I finished school, although I didn’t have a lot of knowledge about it back then, it felt good.

In 2015, I moved to Sydney to complete my Bachelor of Music. This is where I fell in love with yoga. I joined a gym and started practising regularly. I knew it was a great way to both strengthen my body and help benefit my dancing. I discovered that yoga seriously helped calm my anxious mind and gain a better control of my breath by bringing my attention to it so I could breathe easier. While I originally thought yoga was just going to help me become stronger and more agile, I gained so much more!

The more I practised yoga, the calmer and more grounded I found myself. Dealing with stressful situations became easier because my mind wasn’t over thinking. With my regular practice, I realised I was coping better with juggling the pressure of full-time study alongside a high-stress corporate job.

In 2017, I decided to take a leap and complete my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training to learn more about the history and philosophy, and to be able to share my fascination of yoga! As a natural leader, and someone who had been teaching dance since my teenage years, the transition from being a yoga student to yoga teacher was instinctive.
In my classes, my aim is to create a welcoming environment for people new and experienced in yoga, a space where people can ask questions and explore freely. To be able to guide my clients to get to know themselves and all the ways their body can move. I am passionate about leading my classes in an approachable way that is suitable for all levels: from new to well-practised yogis. I love exploring different ways of movement in the body and incorporate my knowledge through dance into my classes. I love teaching a mixture of slow-paced Hatha Yoga and incorporating yin aspects into my classes.

In 2020, I have begun my studies for a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Acupuncture) to continue my education of physical movement and natural healing.

I feel so passionate about sharing these experiences and my learnings with as many people as possible. I truly believe yoga can be life changing!"

Honestly, I woke up with such a pounding headache that I knew would turn into a full blown migraine if I didn't do something about it! .
Goodness knows I love a good heandstand, but who would have thought that standing on my head would help the pain in my head?! .

Here's how to make the most out of your yoga practice!

1. Clear the space. Find somewhere with enough space to stretch out in all directions.

2. The bigger the screen the better the view! Watch from your laptop, or better yet cast your phone screen to your smart TV.

3. Line up an awesome playlist and play it on another device than the one you're watching from. (I recommend 'The sounds of Nature' on spotify)

4. Come with an open mind, an open heart and let's enjoy the experience together! 🤸‍♀️

A good practice always has a good Sun Salutation! 🌞
This is one of the best and quickest ways for me to get out of my head and into my body! It allows me the chance to evaulate how my body is feeling and to connect with my breath.
One of the first things I teach new yogis is how to go through the Sun Salutations, and have found that many people find their love of yoga through practicing this sequence!

It's hard to stay grounded when things are so uncertain. It can feel like our focus in being pulled in multiple directions, and it can be easy to forget to look after yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you can find a quiet moment, pause. Close your eyes, and take some slow, deep breathes in and out. Practice some self care what ever that means for you. A bubble bath, a glass of wine, a walk outside, meditation, a drive in the country... what ever makes you feel at peace. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I think this is super important, to be actively aware of your thoughts, behaviours and reactions. Sometimes we can react without thinking and therefore not be truthful to our hearts intention. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Before reacting, stop. Take a breath. Then allow for your pure response to be heard.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hello humans! If you’re looking for a way to work out, zen out, chill out, and just let go of the stress from the world around you… let me be of assistance!
As a result of the recent restrictions, as of this week, my home studio classes, and classes I teach in other gyms/studios, have stopped until further notice.
As a yoga teacher, I feel an obligation to continue to spread a sense of calm as far as I can. We do not need to panic or worry. All we need to do is listen to the recommendations, stay hygienic, stay healthy, and take care of each other. (If you’ve seen my recent post, worry is just praying for things we don’t want)
It is super important to take care of your physical and mental health in moments like this. We need to maintain balanced and clear minded.
I am therefore offering some online 1-on-1 or small group yoga or meditation sessions via Zoom or Facetime for a discounted price. These sessions will still be personalised and can be worked around your schedule.
If you have kids, I can also customise a yoga session that targets your needs while your kids are next to you having fun and joining in!
If yoga is something you’ve never tried but always wanted to… now is the perfect time to start!

Aaaaaaaand im back in the land of the interwebs! 👩‍💻
Over the summer holidays I decided I wanted to use my time to create more than I consume. So instead of spending endless hours watching videos and scrolling through socials;
🎹 I pulled out the piano,
🌻upcycled some jars into plant pots,
🌱propogated some of my beautiful plants,
🖍and even did some colouring in!
Dont get me wrong, I have definitely still scrolled through fb and youtube, however, I just decided to be more conscious of where I was spending my down time.
Having said that, I'm ready to hop back on the train of social media, especially now that the world is in various forms of lockdown.
🚂
I just wanted to remind everyone that fresh air is still a glorious thing! And self isolation doesnt necessarily mean locking yourself in your bedroom.
🏡
Going for a walk or even having a tea in the backyard is good for the lungs and soul!
☕🌴 🧘‍♀️🌈🙏
