Because of the strong winds, trash is hard to stay put in the bins of Clovis, NM. Hillscrest pond seems to catch a lot of it. Despite this, it is a sacred place for the ducks and geese to rest and hydrate as they travel between Canada and Mexico.

Reset wanted to help keep this important spot a little bit cleaner though much work is still need after the 8 garbage bags we filled today with trash in and around the water.

Not only is community service good for the community, but it is good for ourselves. Through volunteering we can learn new skills, build our identity, work for what we believe is right in this world, and network with a community of people who care for similar things.

Spending time in nature doesn’t always have to be a big event. Sure, its nice to have a week to backpack through the woods, or go on a vacation to a beautiful new place. Buuuut taking a night to go camping before getting ready for the week ahead is just as healing! ⛺️❤️‍🩹

Join me on my hike to this wonderful waterfall 💦Where I live, views like these just don’t exist! Nonetheless, no matter which part of the world I’m exploring, I always practice mindfulness while hiking. My personal favorite benefit: Enhanced Focus and Attention Restoration 🤓
Natural environments provide a unique type of stimulation that allows the mind to rest and recharge its capacity for focused attention.
• Attention Restoration Theory (ART): This theory posits that nature provides “soft fascination” (e.g., the sound of running water, wind in the trees). This engaging yet non-demanding stimulation allows the mind’s executive control to rest, recovering from mental fatigue caused by everyday directed focus.
• Improved Cognitive Function: Studies have shown that time in nature, especially when coupled with mindfulness (which promotes awareness), improves cognitive functions like working memory and sustained attention

Want to change the world? Ride a bike! Want to change yourself? Ride a bike! It can be hard. There will be cold mornings. There will be scalding afternoons. You won’t be able to carry as much or go as fast. It wont always feel the safest with so much traffic everywhere nowadays.

But, so many good things will come. Health, friendships, respect, connection, and financial freedom are just a few of the things that result from riding your bike to work or school every day.

The faces behind Reset 🌞

Each of us has our own passions that we exercise to be able to come together and help those who are tired of feeling stuck in their heads, in a body they feel is against them, or in a system that doesn’t seem to truly care for them. To help people who are looking for a Reset.

At our Harmony events, participants get to experience these different passions coming together through an outdoor experience of therapeutic movement, introspection, and exploration of our environment.

How to find peace in any moment? Surely we can begin with the breath. But then what? A good key is recognizing the difference between consequence and risk. These things can become entangled in our minds, making us to feel anxiety, fear, and make poor decisions. For instance, the tree above me now has huge consequence if it continues to fall but the risk is infinitesimal under the current circumstance.

What in your life do you stop yourself from doing because the consequences are scary even though the risk is small?
