Meet Elaine

I was born and raised in Davis, California. My athletic, competitive spirit evolved into me playing competitive soccer through High School and getting the opportunity to traveling throughout the Unites States for tournaments and winning 3 California State Cups, Regionals and National Championships. Competitive soccer taught me teamwork, leadership, achieving goals, time management, and going after what I wanted.

I graduated from High School and immediately went to UCSD to study psychology. My love of athletics and teamwork continued at UCSD on the lacrosse field. I received the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award my Freshman year and the role of Captain my Junior and Senior years. My passion for travel and adventure led me to study abroad to Costa Rica for 6 months to attend the University there, immersed with Costa Rican students. Upon graduating from UCSD, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in elementary teaching. Helping children grow socially, academically and emotionally is a passion of mine, and I found myself back in Davis at UCD to get my Bilingual (Spanish) teaching credential and Master’s in Education. My teaching career lasted ten years.

In 2007, my daughter Sophia was born, and in 2009, my son Jackson was born. In 2010, Jackson was diagnosed with Autism, which changed my ability to manage both my career and family. By 2014, it was not possible for me to continue my teaching career and devote the time to both Jackson and Sophie that they needed.

Upon Jackson’s Autism diagnosis at 18 months, we immediately began researching early behavioral and medical interventions to help Jackson reach his full potential. We took Jackson to Autism specialists, cleaned up his diet and followed many detoxification protocols to help Jackson’s body rebalance.
