I’m now officially qualified as a lipoedema specialist here in Oxfordshire. Alongside my original Lymphoedema Therapy training through LTA Training Academy nine years ago, I can now offer full diagnostic consultations, targeted treatment with MLD and other hands-on techniques, and support with long-term management including compression garments. Lipoedema presents in different ways, and far too many people are told it’s just weight or just swelling. If your legs never quite made sense and you’ve never had a proper explanation, I’m here to listen, give you clarity and build a plan that actually feels doable.

Think about nutrients differently.

Top Fundraiser! A big shout-out to all those who sponsored me this year for walking the marathon for Macmillan.

Woohoo! My legs took me 25.6miles, just shy of a marathon.

Started at 7.50 am - crossed the finish line at 2.20pm - A respectable 6.5hrs (pit stops included) on my feet!

Kept good form.with my WalkActive pace the whole way, and guess what, some commented on what a stride I had! Come try it said!!

I ended up with the most swollen hands, and even my tricks couldn't put the lymph at bay! Just about see my knuckles now!

One thing i wasn't prepared for was pain felt in my left foot as I depressed the clutch to start the car (and then gears) - holy bananas that's a shock...I knew they were feeling it 20 miles in, getting tender in my ...

All that aside. I did this for all those who can't walk very far because the drugs affect their joints - i now have a deeper appreciation of how that must feel.
And because does a fantastic job, not just on the front line but also with their information database, helping the individual, the employer, the families etc...
Just AMAZING.

It was worth every ounce of ache!!

I've trained for months.
I've hiked miles (so have the dogs).
I've sussed out my hydration
I've nailed my nutrition
I've supported my body with strength training and Pilates.
I'm as ready as I'll ever be to walk this marathon.
