Ekuthuleni Retreat Place

Ekuthuleni is a rustic retreat place set amid oak forests, gorse bushes and thyme. Our main emphasis is meditation, simplicity and connection with nature.

We will be running retreats during the summer:
- group contemplative walking for six days along forest tracks. The walks will be in silence with time for rest, relaxation and talk on return to Ekuthuleni in the afternoons. We would like to flavour each retreat with a theme i.e interfaith, ecology, chanting....
- group sitting retreats with invited teachers to offer guidance each in their own way

. We also welcome solitary retreatants and spiritual woofers, and can give help in meditation as needed. Our facilities are very simple but beautifull: an outdoor platform in the trees will be our shrine/meditation room; each retreatant will also have a tree platform on which to camp. There is a semi outdoor kitchen and washing up area, a compost toilet and a vegetal bathroom facing the sunset!

Coming home to this body and mind to ground and resource ourselves, to be able to skilfully navigate the stormy seas and many challenges that present themselves in our life, the life of all beings around us and globally.
