Who else is “rooting” for hugs and connection more than ever? 🤗

Did you know that hugs decrease blood pressure, a stressful heart rate and the release of cortisol, a stress hormone? Hugging and connection play a huge part in our mental and physical wellbeing. Supporting a strengthened immune system. 🌿

When considering mind, body and spirit, they are connected and play a huge role in our health and how we flourish day to day.

Feeding a healthy gut and healing any “root causes” that keep us from living optimally help to produce 95 percent of the body’s supply of serotonin, supporting a happy mood and flourishing gut. 😃

The end of this year graces us with its goodbye tomorrow evening and it’s bringing us a time to reflect, set new intentions and let go. Not only do we have New Year’s Eve quickly approaching, but nature shared her final full moon with us last night.

Last night’s full moon was in Cancer, a strong emotional water sign. Interestingly, we started 2020 with a full moon in Cancer and that’s how we are ending out this year’s final full moon.

As we transition through this time, I’m sharing some of my top tips for letting go and making space for new.

What rituals or self care techniques are you implementing to support your mind and body during this transition? I’d love to hear.

Good morning.

Are you finding it easier or more challenging to find peace, happiness and joy during this holiday season?

Holiday cheer and this time of the year are often filled with celebration, friends, family and togetherness. It’s also filled with long “to-do” lists, stress, toxicity and unhealthy food. That’s usually the case with a “normal year,” but 2020 has been a little different from “normal.” We’ve had to pivot a great deal this year and we’re continuing to do so during the holiday season.

Instead of adding additional physical and emotional stress to your plate, try some of these tips for a happier and healthier holiday season. These tips can carry into the New Year as well.

P.S. I welcome you to share this message with anyone who may appreciate it during this time. ❤️

As we welcome change, nature continues to show us the beauty of transition. The temperatures are shifting to cooler fall feels, animals are preparing for hibernation, the leaves are scattering and the trees are showing us the graceful elegance of letting go.

As we close out seasons and welcome the colder season's nourishing bounty, it’s a time to reflect on the seeds you planted during the spring and summer months. The seeds can also be viewed as equivalent to goals. Acknowledging how far you’ve come, the lessons and growth from the year thus far, and reflections on what you want to achieve moving ahead. This season is also one of abundance and gratitude. Especially around the holidays.

This year has shown us many things from silver linings, the ability to do things messy, and the amount of resilience that we have individually and together.

We may not be certain of what lies ahead with the holiday season and beyond. We do know that living a nourished life means transitioning in a healthy manner with this beautiful season. Getting centered, slowing down, observing what you need in the present, nourishing with the seasonal harvest, and practicing self-care.

I recently collaborated with Sass Magazine to share some of my tips to help you feel supported and nourished through this season and into the New Year.

Today’s post 💪🏻 meal is Mediterranean chicken and sweet potato fries. 😋

Super simple crockpot chicken. I love the crockpot during colder seasons and I love simple cooking.

Tip: Make it in larger batches and reheat for additional meals.
