At BEAM, neurodivergent kids finally get the kind of support they’ve been missing for years. It’s more than academics. It’s emotional safety. It’s progress that lasts. 💛 Your donation helps us provide that 1-on-1 care to more kids. 📲 Support their growth today—link in bio.

Another ABAer argued that the "rewards" used in ABA are similar to a paycheck.

Yeah, no.

This is SUCH a GREAT opportunity to connect!!! ❤️

Are you looking to connect with other parents navigating similar experiences and challenges in raising a child with diverse abilities? Do you sometimes feel isolated or overwhelmed by the complexities of accessing necessary services for your child?

We invite you to our Parent Meet Up! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents who truly understand what you're going through. You'll also have the chance to meet our Peer Support Specialists, Jenny and Jeanine. They have personal experience navigating these paths and are here to offer support and guidance through challenging times and complicated processes.

We hope to see you there. May 29th! Snacks included!

Summer Camp Update!

We’re so excited to announce that registration is now open for BEAM’s summer camps! Our camps offer hands-on fun, social-emotional learning, and lots of opportunities for creativity and connection. Camp days are $50/day, and while we wish we could offer scholarships this round, they are not available at this time. We appreciate your understanding.

We also want to share a little note about our two middle session camps: These will be led by our dedicated summer camp team—a group of thoughtful, skilled professionals who are currently being trained in BEAM’s unique approach. While they are not our regular school-year staff (like Karen or Liv), they were selected with great care and bring so much talent and heart to the work.

As with any new team, there may be a little learning curve so we kindly ask for your flexibility and patience during those sessions. We are confident in their ability to build meaningful relationships with our kids and uphold the values that make BEAM special.

We will be sending out google sign up forms tomorrowow and Tuesday so please check your email.

Thank you for trusting us with your incredible humans—we can’t wait for an amazing summer!

Our Story

The Hero Makers began as a dream of a group of mothers with diverse youth seeking support, education and opportunities in community. We began as Wyldwoodz Resource Center and have found our way to create Hero’s in the world by sharing what we have learned about Trauma Informed Care Practices for youth and families.
