Dripping in gold dust
I feel the forces around me
A see the hero’s that guide my soul
the halos hovering above
I am changing
I am breaking the chains that have held my soul back for too long now
I transcend the broken patterns that once devastated my heart
And escape through portals of nothingness
Arriving in a reality that is pure and familiar
the future still unknown
I am no longer afraid
No longer lost in a sea of confusion
I ascend from beneath the shadows
The light is with me now and forever

“Blocked”

I lay here on my back, Kali, passed out, sprawled across my chest. Her tiny paw rests on my heart as tears fall down my cold cheeks. I recall a memory from my time with the healer in Bali.

“And how..” I take a deep breath because I already know the answer before the words fall out of my mouth. My throat starts to tighten. “How is my heart?”

“It’s blocked.” He says, “Try to open it.”

Tears start to pour down my face and I try to stay silent as he continues his work. I want to let out the loudest, gut wrenching scream, but I don’t want to disturb his practise.

“Why are you crying? … Don’t cry.”

I say nothing. The tears don’t stop no matter how much I try to control them. We don’t have time for me to explain why, or where they come from. All I can do is let them flow.
