Included are home pick up and drop-off as well as transportation to local parks and pathways for exercise, fun, and socialization. We prioritize positive reinforcement working on basic obedience commands and recall training during our walks. We provide a quieter, more individualized setting that allows your dog to thrive physically and mentally. Your dog will enjoy walks tailored to engage their senses, whether they are exploring new terrain or simply enjoying the outdoors. This low-stress approach is a perfect alternative to loud, busy environments of doggie daycares or the inconvenience of scheduling drop-offs and pick-ups around your busy schedule. Each walk comes with a post-walk report card/summary and a gentle rub-down ensuring they are clean and comfortable. Your dog will return home tired but happy! A happy dog is an exercised and socialized dog. Pawsome Walks Brigade Dog Walking also offers cat sitting. This includes regular feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, and litter box maintenance. Whether it's dietary restrictions, medication administration, nail clipping, or personalized playtime, we are here to provide the best care for your feline friends when you are away. With a lifelong love for animals, I began my career as a veterinary assistant for 10 years. Over the past 20 years, I have built a career as a professional dog walker with a diverse range of dogs including service, assistance, and therapy dogs. Through my experience as a veterinary assistant, I am also knowledgeable about the unique needs of older cats and dogs, collaborating with clients to provide tailored care. My qualifications include certification in Dog and Cat First Aid and CPR. I am continuously adding to my knowledge of dog and cat behavior to ensure the best for the animals I work with. The holidays are fun but BUSY. Decorations, guests, food, errands, parties, and last-minute prep can make things chaotic for pets. A few quick tips can help keep your dog safe and avoid extra stress for you.

🎄 Holiday Safety Basics
Decorations: Keep ornaments, tinsel, and cords out of reach. Secure your tree so it can’t tip over.

Food Hazards: Avoid table scraps. Chocolate, grapes/raisins, onions, poultry bones, alcohol, and rich foods can all be dangerous.

Guests & Doors: Introduce visitors slowly, watch open doors and set up a quiet retreat space where your dog can relax.

Routine: Stick to your dog’s usual feeding and walking schedule as much as possible.

Recognizing the effort your dog is putting in during leash-training is an important part of the process. When a dog is working hard to understand what you’re asking (especially during focused leash exercises), it helps to pause the walk from time to time. These short breaks let your dog relax, reset, and shift out of “work mode.” A few moments of calm affection or gentle praise show the dog they’re on the right track and that their effort is being rewarded. This balance of training and brief downtime supports better learning and keeps the experience positive for both of you. Who doesn't like some lovin? :)

I had the chance to meet Elizabeth, the owner of Pup-n-Cup Family Cafe & Shop CCC, last week, and it was such a great chat! I love connecting with other dog pros and talking all things pup. Some of the topics we covered were training approaches, understanding dog behaviour, communication cues, and how to best support clients.

Be sure to take a look at what she’s doing with her café, the Diversity Den, and her training programs. There’s a lot of great work happening.

A bunch of local businesses, including Pawsome Walks Brigade Dog Walking, are donating services and items for her upcoming silent auction. It's good to see the community come together. 🐾 This is going to be a good event!!
