I want to tell you a story.
It's a story that hasn't ended yet, so I can't tell you if it has a happy ending or not.
So, yes, it's an ongoing story.
But let me tell you how it began.
About 9 years ago, I was facebook friends with a guy who I didn't know, but with whom I had common interests. He requested me, if you must know. I checked his profile before I accepted, and saw that he was married. It made me feel safer accepting his request, because I was married too, and not interested in being pursued. I accepted reluctantly, but with the promise to myself that if he started flirting or being inappropriate with me, I would unfriend him.
He never did. In fact, I never really understood why he friend requested me. He never tried to flirt with me, he never tried to sell me anything, never did anything inappropriate. His posts would show up on my newsfeed from time to time. Totally benign stuff. Some even interesting. (And yes that is a total dig at him. And he knows it. And he's probably at least smirking right now.)
Well, one time he posted a challenge group. I know you've seen similar posts. "Join my challenge and get healthier!" I had been on my own health journey for some time, and wasn't making any headway, so I was, at that time, looking for something new. Only I didn't know what and I didn't know I was looking.
So I went against my better judgment and asked for more info.
It was, that January of 2012, the very first 9010 Nutrition Challenge. I joined, I learned 9010 Nutrition, and I lost 12 pounds in 3 months, more than I had lost in the entire previous year.
I was hooked. I joined the next challenge, and the one after that. Soon I was converting my favorite recipes to be 9010 compliant. Then I was sharing my converted recipes.
In late 2015, I was asked to become a partner in 9010 Nutrition, with my primary role as recipe writer.
Later, I was asked to not only write new recipes for 9010, but also write full meal plans. That evolved into me writing recipes and meal plans for regular clean eating, Keto, Gluten Free, and Vegetarian/Vegan.
As we begin 2020, we have almost 1000 recipes, and almost 500 meal plans published.
It's been an experience, to say the least.
Today, as we begin 2020, I have in Ryan one of my best friends in the world. A confidant, a trusted advisor, a friend who is more like family.
This is us. This is 9010. This is what makes us unique: we are a community, a family. You will not get this from any other nutrition plan.
We refuse to take credit cards for our free trial because we don't want the reason you pay us to be that you forgot to cancel. We refuse to put our life story ahead of our recipes just so google will show us first in a search. We put our recipes first, and google punishes us by putting our recipes behind others'.
We do public pun wars, and we know it makes people roll their eyes and we don't care.
Because this is us!
We genuinely care about our members, we care about their success. I can tell you with full honesty that we care more about your success than we do about our clicks or bottom line. We both fully feel that our profit should be a byproduct of your success, and not the other way around.
If you're willing to give us a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
