Side note, to anyone looking at these cute pictures and starting to compare your own relationship - STOP! Remember that life off of FB isn't always as cute as the photos you see! For us, in building a healthy lifestyle, we often differ in opinions, try and tell each other what to (or not to) eat, we've dealt with jealousy of time spent on goals and as a woman I even sometimes find myself jealous of what he can do faster than me! This is . It's taken 25 years to find common ground and really enjoy a great workout together (most of the time 🤣). And if you see us at the gym, we might even be ignoring each other with headphones on cuz that works too 😂

LADIES! Please stop lamenting the past - What you weighed in highschool, how many pull-ups you could do 5 years ago, how far you could run, how your favorite jeans use to fit.... It's great to have goals but they're very difficult to achieve when you can't move on from the past or are in constant stress about the future. BE PRESENT IN YOUR JOURNEY and be THANKFUL for what you CAN DO, right here, right now.

Love yourself where you're at and appreciate how you got there. Maybe you lost some strength because you've had to put extra time into work; maybe your jeans don't fit perfectly because you had babies and have been busy taking care of them instead of yourself; maybe your aging parents have needed more of your energy and that left less to run consistently. Every season looks different. Try and appreciate the journey!

No need to stress over what NOT to eat. but here are a few helpful tips to not over indulge:

🏈 Don't show up hungry. Eat a good late lunch so you're not starving when you arrive and grab whatever you can get your hands on.
🏈 Bring a favorite healthy snack that can fill your plate and don't feel guilty eating.
🏈 Avoid sitting or standing directly next to the food spread. Proximity leads to mindless grazing.
🏈 Use a small plate. Research shows people consume fewer calories when using smaller plates.
🏈 Instead of constant snacking, commit to filling your plate only once per quarter to check in with your hunger levels.
🏈 Veggies first! Eat two handfuls of vegetables from the veggie tray before adding any other snacks to your plate.
🏈 Scan the options and choose your top 2–3 "must-have" items and skip the generic chips or snacks you don't actually love.
