In 2018, I wrote "The Fear Workbook: How to Stop Procrastination, Self-Sabotage, and Fear from Stealing Your Dream Goals" and published it on Amazon.
Back then, I called the mental adversary my Inner Critic.
Today, I refer to it as my Mental Monsters.
The information is still as relevant today as it was then. This topic is evergreen.
Here's a condensed version of Chapter 1 - You vs Your Inner Critic.
🧠🎯 Is your Inner Critic running the show? 🎯đź§
Ever feel like you’ve got a backseat driver in your brain?
You want to eat healthier… but suddenly you're arguing with this invisible voice that says:
👉 "Just one bite won’t hurt."
👉 "You always fail anyway."
👉 "Why even try?"
That’s your Inner Critic—and spoiler alert: it's not YOU.
It’s just one of your Mental Monsters trying to protect the status quo.
In Chapter One of The Fear Workbook, we do something radical:
âś… We give the Inner Critic a name.
âś… We give it a face.
âś… We learn to have a real (even humorous!) conversation with it.
Because when you can see it clearly, you can train it to chill out.
👀 It’s not about fighting the fear—it’s about understanding the voice behind it.
🦸‍♀️ So go ahead—name your Inner Critic.
And remind it:
“I’m the hero here. You’re just background noise.”
💬 What’s YOUR inner critic saying today?
Drop it below—and let’s tame it together.
