Proud to have contributed to this collaborative work across Teesside, supporting open conversations around domestic abuse, forced marriage, and the impact of cultural and social barriers.

It was powerful to see participants gain confidence, awareness of their rights, and the courage to speak up. At the same time, the sessions highlighted the real challenges many still face, including stigma and racism.

Work like this is essential in building safer, more informed and inclusive communities.

On Monday, Connect360 had the privilege of hosting a Dementia Awareness Session in partnership with Dementia Action Teesside at Middlesbrough Community Church.

Participants learned about the realities of dementia, how it affects individuals beyond memory loss, and practical ways we can all support people living with dementia in our communities.

By the end of the session, attendees became Dementia Friends, joining a growing movement committed to building more inclusive and dementia-friendly communities.

This training is valuable not only for those interested in care, health, and community support roles, but also for families, volunteers, and anyone who wants to better understand and support others in everyday life.

A huge thank you to Dementia Action Teesside for delivering such an insightful session, and to everyone who attended and engaged so openly.

At Connect360, we remain committed to empowering communities through knowledge, connection, and support.

There is still significant confusion around NRPF, different immigration status, sponsorship, and what support is legally permissible. What are we actually eligible for.

This free, in-person session brings together migrants, employers, councils, and frontline practitioners to unpack these issues clearly and practically.
