Hamrah is a resource and educational website primarily aimed towards Iranian and Farsi speaking addicts worldwide that provides information on the disease of addiction, its various manifestations and its effects on family members. Given that addiction is scientifically proven to be a disease, and the effectiveness of 12 Step programs and Fellowships towards recovery from it, Hamrah hopes to empowe
r those affected by this disease with information, so that they may find the means and the support to recover from it. Hamrah is the concept of an Iranian addict in recovery, who due to lack of knowledge and the stigma attached to addiction found coming to terms with this condition difficult. Realizing there may be other Iranian and or Farsi speaking addicts in similar circumstances, Hamrah was created to provide an informative and educational resource website so as to open their gateway into recovery. Iranians and or Farsi speakers worldwide suffering from addiction, be it to substances or behaviours.
