Lupus overlap disease happens when someone has features of lupus AND other autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, or polymyositis.
It’s a complex condition where multiple immune systems are involved, leading to diverse symptoms like joint pain, fatigue, skin rashes, and organ issues.
What does “disease overlap” mean?

It means symptoms and signs from different autoimmune diseases appear together, making diagnosis and treatment more challenging. Recognizing overlap helps doctors create personalized treatment plans.

Scientifically-based therapies:
✅ NSAIDs for pain and inflammation such as naxpoxan
✅ steroids for quick symptom relief

✅ lImmunosuppressants (like methotrexate, azathioprine)

✅ Planquenil- for lupus control

✅ Biologics (lNatural/supportive therapies:

🌿Anti-inflammatory diet (fruits, veggies, omega-3s)
🌿Vitamin D & omega-3 supplements (consult your doctor!)
🌿Stress management (yoga, meditation)
🌿Gentle exercise & sufficient hours of sleep
🌿 Mind-body practices to reduce flare-ups

Remember: Always let your healthcare provider know you are incorporating Natural therapies in your treatment.

Natural therapies are very supportive in the treatment of lupus and overlap disease.

Healing Vs Curing… First you must become someone who can heal by creating that mindset. You can cure without healing, and you can heal without curing. In medical school most of the training focus on curing....However, healing and curing are inherently different.Curing means "eliminating all evidence of disease," while healing means "becoming whole." When you become whole you find healing on all levels.

Being in nature is healing because it reduces stress, enhances mental well-being, and boosts the immune system. Exposure to natural environments can lower cortisol levels, reduce blood pressure, and promote relaxation. Nature also provides a sense of awe and connection to something larger than oneself, which can reduce stress and improve mood. When was the last time you were in nature don’t you think you deserve a day in nature?Food for thought?

Pleurisy is pain in the chest that occurs during breathing. It is a common lung condition 🫁 associated with lupus, if you don’t have lupus, you can still have but for this video, I’m speaking about people who have lupus, . Pleurisy causes inflammation of the lining of the lungs, leading to sharp chest pain, especially when breathing.

About 43% of lupus patients experience pleuritis, and it can be the initial symptom in some cases. Lupus can also cause other lung issues like lupus pneumonitis (inflammation of lung tissue) which is a serious condition that affects anywhere from 1-10% of lupus patients. The condition is characterized by chest pain, shortness of breath, and a dry cough that may bring up blood and pulmonary hypertension.

If you have lupus and experience chest pain or breathing difficulties, it’s important to get a medical evaluation to rule out other potential causes and manage your condition effectively. Early detection and treatment are key to managing lupus-related pleurisy and preventing complications. This condition hurts. You are experiencing any pain in the chest when you breathe. I highly recommend getting
Tested for pleurisy early detection is key.

This is all I have to share with you today if you like this video share it with others who you think may learn something from it.
