It's simply not a realistic or desired option for some. This thinking that abstinence is the only way denies the fact that there is a spectrum when it comes to substance use. It's not always chaotic or problematic for people. Just help people focus on any positive change they're willing to make. I have often seen small goals lead to big changes.

Recognize when you set some new boundaries and stick to them. Some people find a way to take it personal. That's okay they're letting you know they're not a part of your tribe

The rat Park study showed us that connection is the opposite of addiction. Well if that's the case "tough love" is typically going to cause more damage. Set boundaries make sure that they are understood and stick to them❤

Unfortunately we were unable to stay at the 35th and Peoria location. We have moved to Cortez park against the canal; come see us for fresh food, snacks, hygiene, and harm reduction supplies!

Tonight we will have our pop-up syringe access site. We will be on the West Side. 35th Avenue and Peoria. Most likely in the Garcias parking lot. Either way we'll be somewhere on that side of the Plaza.

We will set up at 6:30 and be out there till at least 9:30. Please bring your appetite . We'll have plenty of hamburgers hot dogs and some kielbasa sausage plus as always some snacks and drinks ❤✊

We are a full-service syringe Access program. We can help you with disposal options and any other resources you might be interested in. Thankfully we always have a peer support specialist on site if you're just looking for somebody to talk with.

Please ask us about our event on next Friday the 22nd. We will be Distributing a ton of clothes. We will also be doing this in conjunction with free food services.
