Black Dog - depression in South Australia Depression affects one in five women and one in eight men in Oz. Here we share our Journeys. Fifty-two weeks of life. Your world and mine. Ideas welcome.

We will write, dance, draw, paint, and compose away our blues together. We can come together to work - work will be meeting, walking, seeing, conversing, dancing, raising good money for a good cause and being.

We all experience life's ups and downs. Being there to support each other through tough times can help those we care about feel safe, supported and better about themselves and their situation.

Five finger breathing is another technique to add to your mental health toolbox this year! It's a great one to help you slow down and regulate your breathing.

Start by holding one hand in front of you with your fingers spread. Slowly trace outside your hand with the index finger on your other hand, breathing in when you trace up a finger, and out when you trace down.

Two grandmas Edith and Marie were outside their nursing home, having a smoke when it started to rain. Edith pulled out a condom, cut off the end, put it over her cigarette and continued smoking. Marie: What's that? Edith: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet. Marie: Where did you get it? Edith: You can get them at any drugstore. The next day, Marie hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms. The guy looks at her kind of strangely (she is, after all, over 80 years of age), but politely asks what brand she prefers. Marie: It doesn't matter as long as it fits a Camel. The man nearly fainted.
