The Aquarius New Moon is a yearly lunation that invites us to consider the ways in which we’re connected to the larger world. We may find ourselves more infused with altruism and a greater concern about humanitarian causes.
Through this lunation, we gain further insight into the power inherent in networks and collectives. Through joining together with others who share our visions and values, not only do we feel part of something larger than ourselves: it also helps us to feel that we are better able to make a difference in the world. Orienting from a peace-love-and-understanding perspective is an option we feel inclined to further embrace.
The Aquarius New Moon is also a good time to reflect upon how technology may offer us unique solutions. And yet, we may also see more of the ways that it can overshadow human connection and individualization.
Given that Aquarius is an air sign connected to the electric, we may also find that energy is a subject upon which we are focused. This could include conversations related to circuitry, voltage, and power as much as it may show up as a galvanized interest in healing systems—such as acupuncture, homeopathy, flower essences, and reiki—that highlight our personal bioenergetic system.
This year’s Aquarius New Moon makes a square to shake-it-up Uranus. As such, be open to the unexpected as well as the breakthrough insights that detours and pivots can yield. Hold a loose grip so that you won’t be thrown off guard if things arise that weren’t on your proverbial bingo card.
Given the New Moon is a time of planting seeds, consider what intentions you would like to make regarding these realms of life. And, honoring the Uranus tie-in, be a bit experimental; instead of your usual go-to goals, see if you can take an out-of-the-box approach to declaring your intended aims.
This New Moon occurs at 20 degrees Aquarius. Where’s that residing in your chart? And what related themes are you noticing? Feel free to share below.
Wishing you a lovely New Moon!
