Private sessions offer you the opportunity to work on exactly what is happening for you. Many of my clients experience some type of pain or discomfort. I also work with people who are wanting to deepen their mind-body connection. Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy are gentle therapies that help you soften and create more space in your body.
Sometimes I like to describe these sessions as
•feeling into the softness of your body
•it's like someone nurturing from your childhood coming to help you out
•bringing awareness and connection back into your body to feel what is happening so a change can occur

When I first heard this, "feeling occurs before thought," I had to think about it for a quick moment! And I realized this is so true. Our brain is continuously interpreting all sensory input happening to us, all physical sensations and emotions. There is the feeling and then our brain tells us something about it! So why is it we are so fast to tune out the feeling and be wrapped up in thoughts? I'm sure there is a gazillion answers to this question!
In sessions we work on feeling into what sensations you are experiencing. We work on creating deeper mind-body awareness tapping into what you are noticing in the present moment. These awarenesses in, and also out of, treatment can turn into magical keys that may help you unlock something that needs to shift. This shift may in turn allow you to create a change.

What does the art of exploration mean to you? What comes to mind?
When I see these words what jumps to the surface is curiosity • depth • adventure • searching • feeling the felt sense in the body • feeling emotion • magic • stories • creativity • journey
There are many ways to explore. There are many ways to learn about yourself. Sometimes we experience discomfort and there's the journey to move through this and create change. Sometimes we experience a desire to connect more with self and there's the journey to move through this and create another level of depth. Oftentimes when I work with people these are paired and a change is being sought.
So, what does the art of exploration mean to you? I'm curious!

Last year I had this nudge to get back in the classroom and explore Craniosacral therapy. Just this past weekend I made that happen! I've personally experienced some powerful myofascial sessions that include craniosacral work. So, now I'm excited to be able to offer myofascial release • craniosacral sessions as well for my clients to experience.

It's nearly the beginning of another month which means another MFR self-care class is happening soon.
Take a moment to pause.
Take a moment to feel into your body.
Take a moment to gain some awareness.
Take a moment to let some things go.
Take a moment to let your body speak.
Take a moment to listen when sensations become language and offer you insight. Take a moment to join a small group of wonderful souls!

Finding silence inside. Getting the chatter of your mind to slow down. Slow down and down. And then allowing your innate sense to be your chatter!
I find I often tell many clients becoming more aware of what you are feeling can be a challenging part of feeling better. Yet, without this awareness we don't have a choice to then make a change.

I recently noticed it's been awhile since I popped on here and posted something. So here I am, here we are and I'm offering up an invitation to ponder.

"Who's the bouncer at your door?"

If this question resignates with you or makes you ponder I encourage you to stick with this and lean into it.

Oftentimes one might notice that this "bouncer" has manifested into something physical. This could mean physical discomfort for you, pain for you, stiffness for you and maybe much more. This could also mean emotions are present.

This "bouncer" is a guard but is it really keeping you safe?!

Your life lives in your body! Interwoven in all of this is your fascia. Fascia gives you your posture. It can be tight and painful. It can also be fluid and moving with ease. It holds memories. And it is resilient given the opportunity to soften and change.

I love this quote in relation to our bodies and how much we store in our bodies! Each time a same memory might pop back up, we are at another depth of healing with it.

The other day, I was talking to a client about how much we do hold in our body, literally our whole life! So if we don't acknowledge what's there and if we don't allow "things" to process through, it manifests itself in ways maybe we never imagined. Oftentimes, in my world, I find people experience pain, tightness, and discomfort.

Sometime recently, I heard or read somewhere about pausing and soaking up the moment. You know, like when you happen to be walking and the sunlight embraces you just at the right time. A moment like that!

I walk every day with my dog, and she's always in a rush to get who knows where. Maybe it's to gobble down some everyday morning treats from her best human friend and then back to her spot on the couch 😆
This morning, though, I made her stop multiple times, and the last time was the best!

This morning, I was able to capture some rays! Take a pause and breathe. Soak in that very moment, notice my body, breath, and the nature around me.

And then, of course, my dog had to get going!!!
