MASS DEWORMING ACTIVITY

Kasalukuyang isinasagawa ang Mass Deworming Activity sa 38 barangay ng Buhi, bilang bahagi ng patuloy na programa ng Municipal Health Office para sa kalusugan ng ating mga kabataan at komunidad.

Layunin ng gawaing ito na maiwasan at mabawasan ang mga intestinal worms na maaaring makaapekto sa nutrisyon, paglaki, at pangkalahatang kalusugan ng mga bata.

Pinangunahan ng ating mga Nurses & Midwives, at Barangay Health Workers, ang pamamahagi ng ligtas at epektibong pampurga sa mga kwalipikadong bata.

 BEN – Benepisyo sa Bata
 DA – Dapat may Pagkain
 ZO - Zero Bulate Goal
 LE – Ligtas at Epektibo

• Anthelmintic (gamot kontra-bulate) na ginagamit sa paggamot ng iba’t ibang parasitic infections
• Pinapatay at pinipigilan ang pagdami ng mga bulate sa tiyan
• Tinutulungan ang katawan na mailabas ang mga bulate sa pagdumi
• Pinapabuti ang nutrisyon, gana sa pagkain, at lakas ng katawan
• LIGTAS at aprubadong gamot na matagal nang ginagamit sa mga health center
• Karaniwan itong nirereseta para sa mga impeksiyon sa bituka na dulot ng;

 Huwag matakot, ito ay ibinibigay ng sanay na health workers at sumusunod sa pamantayan ng DOH

TARGET NA EDAD

12 – 23 months, 1/2tablet at maaring durugin sa malinis na tubig
24 – 59 months, 1 tablet at maaring durugin sa malinis na tubig
5 – 9 years old, 1 tablet
10 - 19 years old, 1 tablet

2 Siguraduhing walang lagnat o malubhang karamdaman ang bata
3 Maaaring durugin ang tableta para sa maliliit na bata ayon sa gabay ng health worker
4 Huwag ibigay kung may lagnat, pagsusuka, o matinding sakit
5 Ipaalam agad sa Nurse, Midwife o BHW sa Barangay kung may maramdamang hilo, pagsusuka, o pananakit ng tiyan
6 Ang mga ito ay karaniwang banayad at panandalian lamang

ISKEDYUL NG PAGPUPURGA

Ang Deworming ay may DALAWANG (2) doses sa isang taon bilang rekomendasyon ng DOH.

 1st dose – January, February, at March 2026
 2nd dose – July, August, at September 2026

 May mga Barangay Health Worker (BHW) na umiikot sa bawat zone ng barangay.
 Makilahok at mag-avail ng libreng purga kapag kayo ay naabot ng BHW sapagkat napakahalaga ng regular na pagde-deworming para sa kalusugan at kinabukasan ng ating mga bata.

In support of the LGU Sanitation Program – Zero Open Defecation (ZOD), the Municipal Health Office successfully conducted the distribution of construction materials for the construction of toilet facilities benefiting 20 identified households.

This initiative aims to promote proper sanitation, hygiene, and a healthier community, ensuring that every family has access to safe and dignified toilet facilities. Through this program, the LGU continues its commitment to eliminating open defecation and improving the overall quality of life of its constituents.

Our sincere gratitude to all partner agencies, barangay officials, and personnel who made this activity possible. Together, we build a cleaner, safer, and healthier community for all.

OPERATION “TULI” 2025
Free Circumcision Program for Indigent Males

The Municipal Health Office successfully conducted OPERATION “TULI” 2025, a free circumcision program for indigent males aged 9 years old and above, held on December 20, 2025 at RHU I, San Buenaventura, Buhi, Camarines Sur.

With a target of 100 clients, the turnout exceeded expectations. Due to the large number of beneficiaries, some clients were not accommodated on December 20 and were re-scheduled on December 23, 2025 to ensure safe and quality services for all listed participants.

This activity would not have been possible without the unwavering support and dedication of Dr. Kervy B. Lechago, OIC-MHO; Dr. Jonas R. Lavadia, RHP; the volunteer doctors from BMC; Hon. Vice Mayor Nurse Christian I. Echipare; the BFP personnel; and the hardworking RHU staff and DOH-HRH.

Maraming salamat po for your commitment to community health and service. Together, we continue to promote accessible and compassionate healthcare for all.

COMMUNITY-BASED REHABILITATION PROGRAM
Completion Ceremony and Turnover for After Care Program. December 19, 2025
Magindara Resort, Salvacion, Buhi, Camarines Sur

The Community-Based Rehabilitation Program successfully conducted its Completion Ceremony and Turn - over for the After Care Program, recognizing 10 program completers together with their families.

The activity was enriched by the presence of our resource speaker, Ma’am Lorevic Sumalabe-Gorospe, LPT, a Guidance Counselor, psychometrian, and Career Advocate
whose insights and encouragement inspired the completers as they move forward in their recovery journey.

We are proud and grateful to the Local Government Unit of Buhi, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rey P. Lacoste, for the unwavering support and for providing our clients, assessed with Moderate Substance Use, the opportunity to reintegrate into the community with hope, dignity, and renewed purpose.

This milestone reflects our shared commitment to recovery, family support, and community reintegration.

FOOD SAFETY ORIENTATION AND SANITATION TRAINING FOR FOOD HANDLERS

The Municipal Health Office successfully conducted the Food Safety Orientation and Sanitation Training for Food Handlers on December 18, 2025, in two batches:

1st Batch: Sangguniang Bayan Hall, San Buenaventura Buhi, Camarines Sur
2nd Batch: People’s Center, San Buenaventura Buhi, Camarines Sur

This activity was initiated and led by our dedicated Sanitation Inspectors, Ma’am Vilma M. Ilano, RSI II, and Ma’am Arlene I. Morandarte, RSI I, with the goal of strengthening proper food handling practices, sanitation, and food safety awareness to protect public health.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all food handlers who actively participated in the orientation. Your commitment to safe and hygienic food preparation plays a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our community.

ORAL HEALTH MISSION
“Healthy Smiles, Healthy Lives”

Rural Health Unit I, San Buenaventura Buhi, Camarines Sur

A total of 111 adolescents, exceeding the 100 target beneficiaries, were successfully provided with oral prophylaxis during the Oral Health Mission. This activity aimed to promote proper oral hygiene and prevent dental diseases among the youth, contributing to healthier smiles and better overall well-being.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Dr. Renz Z. Nonato, Municipal Councilor, and Dr. Jenevieve B. Reginaldo, DOH-Deployed Dentist, for their invaluable support and expertise. Special thanks as well to all the staff and volunteers whose dedication made this activity possible.

“BAYANIHAN SA KALUSUGAN: Nurturing Our Wellness, Igniting Our Future”

IRIBANAN 2025 was a meaningful and enriching gathering that highlighted unity, wellness, and shared commitment of RHU I and RHU II as one family.

PART I: Mental Health in the Workplace: Emphasized the importance of mental well-being among health workers. It helped:
✔️ Strengthen emotional resilience
✔️ Promote a healthy and supportive work environment
✔️ Encourage open communication and compassion in the workplace
and reinforced that a healthy mind is essential to delivering quality and compassionate public health services. PART II: Program Implementation Review
This activity aimed to:
✔️ Identify program strengths and areas for improvement
✔️ Enhance coordination and teamwork between RHU I and RHU II
✔️ Improve service delivery and program effectiveness
This review served as a foundation for better planning and stronger implementation of future health programs.

PART III: Christmas Party Celebration
The event concluded with a joyful Christmas celebration, strengthening camaraderie, gratitude, and unity among staff.
IRIBANAN 2025 was not just a celebration, but a reaffirmation that through bayanihan, collaboration, and shared responsibility, we nurture wellness and ignite a stronger future for public health.
