Hello! ✨️ 👋 A little bit more about me.

I am a practicing Holistic Doula in the Port Alberni Valley. I've lived here for a year now and I love it. I moved here from Sooke, where I lived previously for 14 years. 🏡

After high school I was in the pre-social work program because I am passionate about people, but realized that it might not be the avenue that was perfect for me at the time. It was a great base of knowledge because I learned about sociology and psychology. I took an extra couse on the philosophy of love and s*x and from there I was called to become a doula by my inner intuition in 2017. I just had a feeling that is where my hearts work would be, helping people through such a changing time in their lives and bringing forth new life. 👼

So by 2018 I had decided that it was time to attend some schooling to become a doula, after saving up some money and quitting my full time job to attend Pacific Rim College in Victoria full time for the next 4 months. Over those 4 months I took 14 courses ranging in herbs for pregnancy, yoga, acupressure, Thai chi and meditation, ethics of being a doula, buissness skills for a doula, anatomy of the female body down to the cells, nutrition for pregnancy/postpartum, and others. I passed all my exams and then did a 1.5 year practicum with a mentor and attended 3 births to graduate. I have been attending births on and off since. 🤰

Personally I love to be in nature when I'm not working: hiking or walking my puppy Cypress (he is an almost 8 month old Mastiff/Cane Corso.) 🐾

I have been together with my high-school sweetheart now for 9 years. ❤️

I love to read and learn about new things!! I love books with adventures as well. 📚

I also have a passion for baking. I find baking to be very peaceful and relaxing. I recently got into playing with sourdough and experimenting with the many ways you can use it. 🥖

I am a Reiki practitioner. ✨️🤲

I currently work as a server and bartender when I'm not attending births. I have been in the food and beverage industry for 13 years. 🍽
