After over a decade in the fitness industry, I found myself wanting more. More for myself and more for my personal training clients and group exercise participants. I knew in my heart that I needed more than just a great workout to bring myself and others into an optimum state of health. After all (and we’ve all heard it):
As a lover of food (especially carbs & sweets), this was a hard pill for me to swallow! But I’m SO glad that I have!
I found that many of my personal training clients were not truly ready for a full commitment to an exercise regimen. They would start off strong and respond well to my encouragement and specially tailored workouts, but like many of us, they needed to first set health goals, change habits around food and create mindfulness before launching themselves into a consistent routine that they could maintain.
And I’ve been there. I used to believe that I could not only exercise away a bad diet but also exercise away negative emotions, brain fog, anxiety, etc. I used to believe that I could suppress any uncomfortable feelings and be “tough”. I am here to tell you that these beliefs do not work in the long run.
Using my health coaching certification and years of experience in the fitness world, I am here to help you discover what has been holding you back from creating the life you know you deserve. After all, most of us know what it is we are supposed to be doing for our health and wellness, but we often feel stuck, confused and overwhelmed and unable to move forward. The good news is that being healthy does not have to be difficult, depressing or overwhelming. On the contrary it can actually be fun, exciting, eye-opening, rewarding and most importantly sustainable for a lifetime! Doesn’t that sound so much better than counting calories, comparing yourself to others, punishing yourself with militant exercise or fad diets?? I am here to lovingly tell you that those things DO NOT WORK! There is a better way! Doesn’t that feel like a huge relief just hearing that?? There IS a better way to be the best version of yourself so that you have more energy to devote to your family, your work, your studies, your life’s purpose and most importantly YOU!
