October is ADHD Awareness Month! 🌟

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects millions globally, yet misconceptions abound. It's crucial to understand that ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder, not just a lack of focus.

Symptoms include inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, which can impact daily life. Early diagnosis and intervention can lead to effective management strategies, including therapy and medication.

By advocating for awareness and understanding, we can create supportive environments for individuals with ADHD. Let's break the stigma and empower those affected.

This month, we’re excited to sit down with Erin Schmidt, Parent Liaison at Telos, in an episode titled:
“From Parent to Partner: Guiding Families Through Treatment.”

Erin shares her unique journey—first as a parent walking through the challenges of treatment, and now as a trusted guide supporting other families on their own paths.

Her story is one of empathy, perspective, and hope: a reminder that those who’ve “been there” can often provide the most profound understanding and encouragement.

Tune in to hear how Erin helps parents move from uncertainty to confidence, and how her experiences continue to inspire families at Telos.

Choosing sobriety is choosing life, hope, and the chance to rediscover yourself. The journey isn’t always easy—it’s full of ups and downs—but every step forward is a victory.

Remember: you don’t have to have it all figured out today. Progress is built one choice, one day, one moment at a time.

If you’re on the path to recovery, keep going. If you’re thinking about starting, know that it’s never too late. You are stronger than you think, and the best version of you is waiting on the other.

Recovery isn’t just one big milestone—it’s built on small wins that add up to lasting progress.

Each small step matters because:
It builds self-esteem and proves change is possible.
It creates momentum—one win leads to another.
It prevents overwhelm by breaking a big goal into manageable pieces.
It encourages healthy habits that replace destructive ones.

Nearly 30 million Americans have found recovery, showing it’s not only possible but powerful. This month, we celebrate their courage, challenge stigma, and honor the daily victories that make healing real.

If you or someone you love needs support, the SAMHSA Helpline (1-800-662-HELP) is free, confidential, and always open.
