The Gregorian calendar year is coming to a close. Even though it is a calendar system enforced upon us and doesn't align with cosmology it still holds its own collective power. When many people attuned to something, anything really, they feed it their collective energy and their dreams and thus it grows. My ancestors knew the power of the collective and of their dreams. They guarded both with their lives.

Aa the year closes I am thrust into an inward spiral. This spiral is not one of grief or moons or noghtmare but instead one that brings me into the den of grandmother bear. I am invited into this deep dreaming cave with a guide I know as kin and am invited to move into silence. Silence. The gift found in the darkness. The gift of the winter nights. I am beckoned to dream beneath the roots of the forest. Beneath the master Dreamers of the Earth.

My journal, my pen and my drum are my sweet treasures I bring into this dreamspace. May my pen catch the dreams. I honour my Ancestors and their lineage of dreaming that runs through by blood. I honour all past teachers for their offerings to me and I honour all my future teachers who I am yet to meet. My heart is quiet and full and my Dreamer is ready to dream within the den.

For the last 5 years I've been journeying and collaborating with some special ladies. I call them my Sacred Sisterhood. We have healed together, laughed together and supported each other. Once a year we offer a collaborative workshop, where we combine our gifts and our hearts. The Fold is a sacred gathering of women who walk the path of remembrance, reclamation, and inner alchemy. We are called together by something older and deeper than time to share our gifts and lived experiences with others.

Yesterday I got to visit my son's class and share dream teachings. I shared the star blanket I made, the medicine wheel, and I walked them through a mini dreamwork practice. Several of the kids shared nightmares they had and we explored what it might look like to brave up in these dreams. It was quite special to be able to talk dreams and share my culture with the students during their Truth and Reconciliation day. 🧡

On days like this, I'm reminded of the oath I made with my Ancestors to share dreaming with others. These children are our future and they'll help dream the world forward. 🙏

The dreaming, if your anchored into it, will guide you through those obstacles. Like a North Star, it will leave a path for you to follow.

At least once in our life, we will all embark on a Journey... and it is in that Journey we may face many obstacles and struggles, but we will also have the chance of growth and healing.

Often this initiation we encounter transforms us in so many ways and can birth us into new medicine and wisdom...

TIME TRAVEL

Today in DREAMLODGE we explored travelling across time and space. These mysteries were also explored and understood by our ancestors and with all things... was lost. Today we experienced the power of being a Time Travellor. The dreamtime always gives us what we need.

We are breaking for the summer and will resume DREAMLODGE in the fall, after our next Pathfinders workshop.
