Holiday Stress- GONE!!
Just kidding... nothing can take away holiday stress, and coupled with COVID, it can all be too much. Stress is often times the cause of physical symptoms like high blood pressure, headache, upset stomach, low energy, insomnia, colds... oh my gosh.. there's too much to list!!
We can't make it go away, but we can manage our reaction to it! Try these when you're the one coming unwrapped!
1. Take a deep breath. Anytime, anywhere. Even 1 deep breath can reduce blood pressure and reverse the stress response. Inhale slowly for about 6 seconds, hold for a second, exhale for 7-8 seconds. Feel yourself relax. Practice. It'll get easier!
2. Get some exercise. Take a walk. A brisk walk- even 10 or 15 minutes- reduces stress hormones and depression. Take your dog, your spouse, child, or have some alone time!
3. Let your family and friends help you! Just ask when you need help. Others don't know what you need unless you tell them.
4. Smile! It’s true! Smiling not only makes you happier, but it lowers your heart rate and reduces stress!

It’s been a long campaign...

Whether your candidate won or lost today, the most important thing for us now is for all Americans to move forward together with grace and humility.

And remember...the children will follow your example. Show them honorable ways to win and lose. Teach them respect and good sportsmanship.

Show them we can pull together as one nation... it’s what America is all about. 🇺🇸

What to do if you have possible or confirmed COVID-19:
1. Stay home from work, school, and stay away from public places. If you must go out, avoid using any kind of public transportation.
2. Monitor your symptoms. If your symptoms get worse, call your healthcare provider immediately.
3. Get rest and stay hydrated.
4. If you have a medical appointment, CALL THE PROVIDER ahead of time and tell them that you have or may have COVID-19.
5. For medical emergencies, call 911, and NOTIFY THE DISPATCH PERSONNEL that you have or may have COVID-19.
6. Cover your cough and sneezes.
7. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or clean your hands with alcohol-based sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
8. As much as possible, stay in a specific room and away from other people in your home. Also, you should use a separate bathroom if possible. If you need to be around other people in or outside your home, wear a facemask.
9. Avoid sharing personal items like dishes, towels, and bedding.
10. Clean all surfaces that are touched often like counters, tables, and doorknobe. Use household cleaning sprays or wipes.
