Planet Autism Resource for those with autism spectrum (autism, Asperger's, PDD-NOS/Other, PDA), and parents/carers This is NOT an “anti-vaccination” page.

Planet Autism is autistic-run and provides online advice, information and limited support regarding autism spectrum conditions/disorders. Find out your rights, where to turn, what you can request for yourself or your child and ways to protect yourself when things go wrong. Planet Autism posts articles and research related to autism spectrum disorders and anything else that might affect autistics and autism families, so articles are not always directly about ASD. Articles posted sometimes challenge the ‘party line’ because Planet Autism believes in people having access to all sides of the coin and in enabling free-thinking and informed perspectives, to make up their own minds based on what they read/learn from a variety of sources. Truth sometimes needs revealing and isn’t always what people believed it to be, sometimes those in authority aren’t always acting in the best interests of the people. Over 2% of the UK population has an autism spectrum condition. There is no policing of laws that have been passed to assist and protect people, Acts of Parliament are open to abuse because of how they have been written - we need to change this. Wrongful child protection procedures are being used against innocent families of children with invisible disabilities. The Government has been aware of this for almost three decades and it is deliberate. Withholding and misdiagnosing of ASD and using parent-blame, to prevent access to costly resources is happening. NICE Guidance has been written with lists of ASD traits as descriptions of child-abuse. Autistic children taken and put into ‘care’ under false accusations of abuse, misdiagnosed with attachment disorder and trauma. Failure to ensure safe and necessary vaccines and ignoring the elephant in the room - regression into ASD following vaccination, for which much research evidence exists but the public are often unaware of. Blanket vaccination policies ignoring the physiological and genetic vulnerabilities of some people to vaccine injury. Using shock headlines to scare people from alternative medicines and treatments that may help people. Exposing the truth and giving people information to have fully-informed consent, to think for themselves, is the goal. Vaccinations must be safe, fully tested (both individually and synergistically, against true placebos such as saline, not simply adjuvants with the disease only removed) and necessary (as well as optional). A page search will reveal plenty of research articles showing there are ingredients in vaccines that are causing harm, including ASD. Locking away and chemically coshing autistic adults in the Courts of Protection using the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 1983 in total abuse of their Human Rights. Courts of Protection orders that remove rights of family to act for their autistic relative. Open your mind to what’s going on. Information that can help you see the other side, made available here.

"This April, put your small change to good use

It’s World Autism Acceptance Day – a key moment to increase understanding and acceptance of autism everywhere.

At Ambitious about Autism, we know that a small change in attitude or support can make a huge difference to the lives of autistic children and young people. We are there to provide support at every stage of their lives – from education and employment to everyday life. We champion their rights, campaign for change and create opportunities.

But we need your help to continue our vital work.

We are asking you to donate your small change and make a big difference

Can you spare a few pounds to support autistic children and young people this April?

"Ensuring young people get the education they deserve

Autistic children in mainstream education are facing a crisis, and we need your help to make sure their voices are heard.

Our ‘When will we learn: Lost Learning’ report reveals how the education system is failing autistic pupils, and the findings are shocking.

That’s why we’re calling for urgent action to protect the rights of autistic children and their families and calling on decision-makers to improve autistic children’s experience of mainstream education."

"Today is for unmasking: our limited-edition merchandise

We have collaborated with autistic young people and Happy Autistic Lady on a brand-new t-shirt and badges going on sale this World Autism Acceptance Month 2025.

This exclusive design is a celebration of autistic young people and spreads a message of acceptance and autistic pride. We hope autistic people and their allies will love it, and a percentage of the profits will support our work."

From Ambitious About Austism:

"World Autism Acceptance Month appeal

World Autism Acceptance Month starts next week, and we need your help.

Autistic children and young people and their families continue to face enormous challenges in their daily lives. They are marginalised and isolated and struggle to feel understood and supported. Many autistic children are missing from our education system and when they grow up, they struggle to find a job and realise their ambitions.

We are there to provide support at every stage of their lives – from education and employment to everyday life. We champion their rights, campaign for change and create opportunities.

We have launched a fundraising appeal and your small change could make a big difference. Our JustGiving page is open for donations big or small.

For the price of one cup of coffee this month you could help us transform the lives of autistic children and young people.

The money raised will directly support pupils and learners who attend our network of specialist schools and colleges. It will also help us support autistic young people across the nation through our national youth and employability programmes."

This World Autism Acceptance Month, help Ambitious about Autism raise vital funds. Your small change could make a big difference to the lives of autistic children and young people.

FROM THE NATIONAL AUTISTIC SOCIETY:
We are very concerned about the prospect of any cuts to disability benefits. The current system doesn’t work for autistic people, who face an unsuitable assessment system, long delays and a lack of understanding when trying to access benefits. Taking away autistic people’s access to benefits without a clear plan for tackling the extensive barriers they face will only make things harder for autistic people who want to work, and risks unfairly punishing those who can’t. We've joined and a number of other charities to urge the Chancellor to reconsider any potential cuts to disability benefits: http://bit.ly/3XJMZhE https://x.com/Autism/status/1899495189049143887

"This April marks the start of World Autism Acceptance Month, a time to increase understanding and acceptance of autism everywhere.

We’ll be focusing on the small changes that can make a big difference to the lives of autistic children and young people, and we’ll be sharing lots of new information on our website and social media channels about different types of autistic experiences.

Our message to the public is simple - a change in attitude toward autism costs nothing.
