Welcome to the Tellmi podcast! Each month we interview a young person who has been impacted by mental health issues, and discuss their journey to recovery.
In this episode, Suzi talks to Rona about her mental health journey. Rona experienced a su***de in her friendship group at the age of 11, which caused a period of depression, anxiety and self-harm. She speaks about how her school made her feel isolated and alone, and how she turned to sites like Tumblr to try and find like-minded people. With the help of her friendship group and finding other people who were going through similar things on the Tellmi app, she eventually stopped self-harming, and is now about to start her first year at university.
Please be aware that potentially triggering topics such as su***de and self-harm are discussed in this episode.
