The Autumn Equinox is approaching 🍁

If you’d like to mark the shift in energy with me you have 4 choices (you could always do them all!)

🍁 Women’s Circle and Yoga Nidra Friday 19th September 6-7:30pm at Ginger Yoga Yurt, Bettisfield, where we will be looking/thinking/talking about balance in our lives.

🍁 Wheel of the Year special class Saturday 20th September 2-4pm (fully booked) & 5-7pm at Ginger Yoga Yurt, Bettisfield, where we will move through gentle and yin yoga honouring the slowing down phase of the year we are entering.

🍁 Wheel of the Year class on my online membership site so you can do it from the comfort of your own home whenever you like and will take you 78 minutes to complete.

🍁 Yoga & Writing day retreat Sunday 21st September 9:30am-7:30pm at Whitehouse Health and Wellbeing, near Welshpool, where we will be moving smoothly and gently with yoga to help unleash your creativity, be guided and supported by independent author, editor and publisher Katharine E Smith with your writing (writers and non-writers welcome), and treated to delicious meals in a beautiful, relaxing environment with like-minded people, gently easing you into autumn.

After a lovely summer holiday with a very slim class schedule, I’m happy to say the regular timetable will be back next week (except for the Saturday classes which start back on 20th September).

Pregnancy Yoga, Saturdays 11-12:30pm at Ginger Yoga Yurt, Bettisfield 💕

You can join this small friendly class anytime in your 2nd and 3rd trimester - the earlier you start, the greater the benefits! Those who are new to yoga are very welcome. You will also receive access to a short yoga flow and 2 breathing/meditation/relaxation recordings to do at home as often as you like between classes 💕

During these classes, you will be:

💕Guided through flowing movements that can feel supportive and empowering for your changing body, helping you to stay active.

💕Introduced to mindfulness, breathing and relaxation techniques to help with trust, focus, sleep and nourishing a sense of peace throughout your pregnancy, birth and beyond.

💕Exploring useful positions and practical tips in pregnancy and birth (regardless of which birth option you choose) for you and your baby to feel comfortable.

💕Developing awareness of the pelvic floor and how to tone and relax this group of muscles that are integral to women’s well-being throughout our lives.

Pregnancy Yoga classes are a wonderful way to bond with your baby before they are born. Additionally, it’s a great opportunity to meet other new mums-to-be, building a supportive community during your pregnancy and after your baby is born. You can then move on to the Mum & Baby Yoga classes and enjoy a special time moving with your baby, alongside the friends you made from Pregnancy Yoga!

Just saw this article in The Simple Things magazine September edition and made me realise how similar the positive effects of yoga and writing are. Massively coincidental to have come across the article today as next month I’m co-hosting a Yoga & Writing day retreat!!

Autumn Equinox Yoga and Writing Day Retreat

Sunday 21st September 9:30am - 7:30pm

White House Health and Wellbeing, Guilsfield, Powys

I’m so excited to be collaborating with independent author, editor and publisher for this day retreat 💕

Take a few steps back from the world for a day, unwind, and unleash your creativity at this day retreat. Tying in not only with the Autumn Equinox but a partial solar eclipse, the theme is light and dark. Writers and non-writers all welcome.

This is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people, letting your mind and your muscles relax and your creativity open up, while being thoroughly looked after by the lovely people at White House Health & Wellbeing. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome in the most relaxed of surroundings, with delicious home-cooked food, and hot and cold drinks available throughout the day.

Gail will guide you in meditation and some slow, flowing yoga to help open your mind to ideas and ease you into autumn.

Katharine will provide guidance and support with your writing if needed. Try your hand at creating a short-form piece, whether poetry, prose, or something in between. The aim is to enjoy the writing and see where your mind takes you. There will be a chance to share your work at the end of the day if you wish, but absolutely no pressure to do so.

£125 for the day, to include lunch and a light tea*. Ten spaces are available. Book now to avoid disappointment.

*All food will be vegetarian. Please let us know if you have further dietary requirements as most can be catered for.
