Just saw this article in The Simple Things magazine September edition and made me realise how similar the positive effects of yoga and writing are. Massively coincidental to have come across the article today as next month I’m co-hosting a Yoga & Writing day retreat!!
Autumn Equinox Yoga and Writing Day Retreat

Take a few steps back from the world for a day, unwind, and unleash your creativity at this day retreat. Tying in not only with the Autumn Equinox but a partial solar eclipse, the theme is light and dark. Writers and non-writers all welcome.
This is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people, letting your mind and your muscles relax and your creativity open up, while being thoroughly looked after by the lovely people at White House Health & Wellbeing. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome in the most relaxed of surroundings, with delicious home-cooked food, and hot and cold drinks available throughout the day.
Gail will guide you in meditation and some slow, flowing yoga to help open your mind to ideas and ease you into autumn.
Katharine will provide guidance and support with your writing if needed. Try your hand at creating a short-form piece, whether poetry, prose, or something in between. The aim is to enjoy the writing and see where your mind takes you. There will be a chance to share your work at the end of the day if you wish, but absolutely no pressure to do so.
£125 for the day, to include lunch and a light tea*. Ten spaces are available. Book now to avoid disappointment.
