We’re proud to celebrate a major achievement for Dr. James Voos of the University Hospitals Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute and Head Team Physician for the Cleveland Browns, as he completes his two-year term as President of the NFL Physicians Society.

During his tenure, Dr. Voos drove meaningful advancements in player care and physician collaboration – standardizing Emergency Action Plans across NFL venues, expanding access to health and safety data, advancing wearable technology integration, and strengthening organizational growth.

Most notably, he convened the first-ever collaboration of physician society presidents across major professional sports leagues – uniting leaders from the NBA, MLB, NHL and Major League Soccer (MLS) Soccer – establishing an ongoing commitment to elevate the standard of care for professional athletes nationwide.
