A little spring cleanse and renewal pal of mine!
This zesty blend of ginger, pineapple, lemon, and turmeric delivers a powerful burst of antioxidants, supports digestion, and helps fight inflammation. Perfect as a morning boost or a daily cleanse companion!
You can buy this in stores absolutely, but it's much more cost-effective to make yourself.
Here's what I used:
Ginger - 4 to 6 inch pieces
Half a pineapple - skin removed, but keep the core!
4 lemons
Skin /peel on or remove your choice.
Turmeric - 1 to 2 inches or dried and powdered 1 tbsp.
Pinch of black pepper.
I & 1/2 cup water
Honey or maple syrup if desired.
Note: I prefer to buy organic produce.
Wash all produce, prep fruit, and citrus. If you’re using fresh tumeric, you'll add to blend. If you use powder, wait until the end and add it to the strained mixture. Set aside your desired sweetener, add all of the ingredients to a good blender, and blend until smooth. Pour over a fine metal strainer or into a nut milk bag to strain.
The amount of water and sweetener you add is up to what you prefer in texture and taste!
Jar and store. This makes several jars, I keep one in the fridge for about 5 days and freeze the rest and use as needed.
